Well after getting ourselves through our test against the gunners we've got to get back focussed on doing our job in the league again. Blackburn can be a tricky team and after all the drama of last night we need to be back on top of our game and get full points out of this one.
I reckon Benitez might go with a 4-4-2 again, possibly dropping Kuyt in place of Babel and push Gerrard out onto the wing. We've a bit of a break between this game and the next so i can't see him resting too many for it!

Torres looked a little tired last night. Reckon the team will stay mostly the same.

Maybe benni for kuyt and arbeloa for aurelio and finnan RB.

I think Sami will be protected as he will be needed against Drogba. Expect Finnan in for him, Babel for Crouch.

    Back to 4-2-3-1

Same here. He's been very good anytime I've seen him in the Reserves. Definitely worth another chance

Is Leto not out injured at the moment, i don't remember seeing him in the past few reserves games. Would be nice to see Finnan getting a run out at the weekend and Plesis will be hungry for more game time. Might be an oppurtunity to see Babel upfront after finishing the champions league game up there and getting a goal.

cant see anyone being rested, big gap between tuesday and next sunday. how i think rafa will pick it:
    reina
    arbeloa-carra-srktel-riise
    alonso-lucas
    kuyt-gerrard-babel
torres(though crouch again in the 4-2-3-1 would be nice to see)

anyone else finding it slightly strange that aurelio only seems to get champs league gametime these days?

    Reina
    Finnan/Hyppia/Skrtel/Arbeloa
    Alonso/Plessis
    Benayoun / Riise
    Crouch/Porn Star

Although Plessis looked tired against the city reserves I think he could start

Babel is better off staying on teh bench and coming on with 20min to go as thats where he has been most effective this season. Playing from teh start against a team like Blackburn will do nothing for him

I'd be happy to see him on the bench and maybe get a run out when
we have secured forth spot, that would be a nice reward for him

Its time to show our true spirit now and finish off evertons chances by getting three points tomorrow in emphatic fashion. I think the lads that have been on the fringes of the first squad for the past few months deserve a chance to prove themselves tommorrow.
I see your point about Babel coming on from the bench but he needs all the game time he can get in the league. Think crouch has earned another call up and maybe we could see Finnan for a bit too!

    Reina
    Arbeloa Carra Skertal Insua

    Yossi Alonso Lucas Riise

    Crouch Nemeth

That'll give players a rest, and a god mix of young hungry players, and experienced older players trying to prove a point. We would have enough talent on the bench to come on if we were in any danger..

No need to be putting out that sort of team today! Throw out the best eleven and push 5 points clear of the blueshite. Hopefully Chelsea will make light work of them on Thursday night and then maybe we can throw out that sort of team away to Fulham on Saturday. I'm sure that would delight everyone else down in the relegation zone, again.

I reckon he will play his strongest 11, with only 1/2 changes from Arsenal
There is plenty of rest before the Chelsea game, if we get the points today we are 5 clear and that will basically wrap up fourth

We need to get that done ASAP and then think of playing the likes of Nemeth and Leto

Blackburn, with their overly physically approach, really isnt the game to be bringing in young players

Expect to see Gerrard, Crouch and Torres all in from the start

I think he will go with his strongest 11. Agreed with most that we need to get the 3 points today to wrap up fourth can only see the bitters getting 7 more points in there run in. What does worry me a little bit is Blackburns phisycallity and them injuring one or 2 of our more important players
