Set to hold 60,000 with the possibility of extending to 78,000, and is scheduled to open in 2010. The Kop will become even bigger, holding 19,000 fans, remaining the biggest single structure stand in the world.

Sure the corners at the side of the Kop could hold an extra 5 to 8 thousand if expansion was needed didn't see the opposite end of the Kop to see if the corners were filled in there.

Have to say compared to the previous design lads this one outweighs anything i've seen before New Wembley is not a patch on it. Really exciting future ahead finally we have arrived in the modern era of football.

It will be worse than when the original Kop had to be closed in 1994.

But what are they going to do with the Plaque to Billy Liddell, Shankly's statue and both the shankly gates and the paisley gates when we move surely they will uprooted and brough to the new stadium?

So so so glad theyve gone for a rectangular shape rather than a round one... fortress Anfield just got a hell of a lot bigger.

I reckon those bits in the corner are probably for corporate boxes or something?
