I left my keys in a taxi yesterday, anyone know if there is a Lost property thing or anything. On another note, I am getting well sick of Taxi drivers complaining when they pick me up from Airport. I live in Drumcondra and all they do is get thick cause its not a 100 quid fare for the muppets. I got one a few weeks ago and it came to 17 quid, when waited for the change out of a 20 he gave me dogs abuse. Maybe its just been bad luck, but I never get them complaining when they bring me out to the airport, usually a bit of banter, however on the way back they are always tools.
You need to get onto The Carriage Office. By the way if you are in Drumcondra would the Aircoach not be an option for you...?just as fast and a bit cheaper.
i doubt he will hand your keys in to the carriage office after you not giving him his 100e fare, they moan about short fare's due to the fact they hav to queue at airport sumtimes for an hour and then they dont get huge fare.
Thanks a lot, never would have known that. well there are usually two or three of us, so it works out around the same as the Aircoach, although I am tempted just to get the 41 or 16 at 2 quid from now on.
it was guy from the airport line, I should have got a receipt as would have the licence number. I was in a bit of a daze at the time
Yes but this is not the customers fault they have to take the good with the bad,I am close to the airport as well and have to put up with this crap the odd time.I have a few mates who are from River Valley in swords which is practically at the back of the airport and they have major hassle getting a taxi.
Exactly, the way I see it is that they will be back out at airport in ten mins for another pick up fee and fare. There is rarely queue when I have experienced this bull. I remember one tool would not use the bus lane as he wanted to get the meter up. I told him if he didn't get into it, I would be making a complaint to regulator, he soon moved in then. Its really hit and miss with them, some of them are gas crack and some real sour bitter ones.
its never the customers fault and that was the excuse a driver gave me when i asked to be dropped to swords.i just gave him the i am tired after a hectic wkend look and will rip your head off if you moan to me again.simpley 6 mins of silence
If its that much of an issue the Taxi Unions should be getting onto the DAA and trying to get an express lane for the local taxis were they would not have to Q for long but would only get a short fare. Seems like a simple solution to me,maybe I should go into industrial relations there are some good pubs around the Labour Relations Commission.
You have to have a special licience to pick up from the airport that cost couple hundred euro and there is an overflow car park for taxis at the airport, which than can wait in there for more than 2/3 hours.. but you have to take the good with the bad,
Would you not cycle over its only down the road, and lock your bike up outside??? What you think Taxi Drivers are servants!!!# Joke!!!! i'll get my coat!
