I am a little uneasy at how this guy seems to be always hinting at an exit. Sure he wants to play, but he is lucky to be at the best club in England. Sure reina is number one, with good reason I add, but Carson should knuckle down and prove he is number one, rather than settle for 2nd best. Lets be honest, he was amazing last year, but does he really want to endure life at the foot of the premiership. Too many seasons picking the ball out of the back of his ney will do his confidence and england chances no harm Competition is key to self improvement, and at the moment, Id say there is a lot of competitio for places which is good for the team.

Scott, buckle down, take the chances that come your way and win the number 1 jersey if you are good enough ( avery tall order I,m sure youll agree). Dont settle for second best, because if you leave Anfield/Melwood, thats all youll ever be.

but its got to be the one position in a squad, that your chances of playing are very low and with him playing all the time last year, you cannot blame the guy

He needs to be patient been honest he is a position where you can play a lot longer than an outfield player. He has talking to Rafa so he should have got a clear idea what will be happening he will be challenging Pepe which is a good thing. He needs to show character and a willingness to attempt to dispose Pepe as the number 1.

Thats my point as well. If he is good enough, hell take his chance. History is full of similar example of young upstart goal keepers replacing their older, more senior colleagues ( Casillas at real, Robinson at leeds, tho he is dodge, Spink at villa, Shilton and banks). Its what he does with his chance that counts.

    remember sander westerveld?

played crap a few times and he was out...nothing's certain in football, especially not at LFC, so carson could easily be no 1 by the end of the season..

I dont blame Carson for wanting to leave. Robinsons position in the England team is there for the taking and with Euro2008 coming up Carson could be number 1 if he plays regularly next season.
Reina has just signed a big contract so I dont think Carson has a hope of getting in our first team. I know Reina makes mistakes but he has always bounced back and gotten better.

Id prefer him to stay but if you look at things from his point of view I wouldnt begrudge him a move away. Id also be more concerned if he was happy to sit on the bench every week.

The lad made a bit of a blunder for the game today, very sloppy to get caught out with that free kick. In fairness to him, he played very well at times last season for Charlton but I don't think he has what it takes to break into our starting eleven in the next 3 years. The thing is he's probably good enough to play a the number 1 for every club outside the top four, and possibly even good enough to play for Arsenal every week. I don't think it'll be too long before he leaves for more football, and I can't say I'd blame him if he did.

He didn't do himself any favours did he for been our number 1. I think he is sending out all the wrong signals. Just like Michael Owen his main target is England, England, England. Have to say he is been acting a bit like a "big time charlie" since he has came back from Charlton for pre-season.

Ive got to agree with Sean on just about everything he says.
Carson seems to pull off some amazing saves, but doesnt always keep a clean sheet.
Reina on the other keeps plenty of clean sheets, and the defence look sound in front of him too.
Reina forever and always for me anyway.
