went on the lash with about 12 brazilans (people not the "hair" style) last night and they were all raving about Levia saying what a great buy it was. They described him as a defensive midfileder who gets in the box (on a football field not the other one!) alot. They said our best midfield would be him and mascherano. When i mentioned gerrard they werent impressed with me. anyway the moral of the story was we brought a great player and dont go on the lash with 12 brazilians...ouch!!!!!

He looks an exciting prospect. All the talk has been about Pato and Augusto, so if this guy comes good, what a steal

This guy was best player in Brazillian league when he was 19. Tevez and Kaka also in that bracket. Also Barcelona and Juventus were interested in him, and he is captain of Brazilian U-20 side and had recently been called up for senior team. Sum all those facts and add the amount of the money paid for him (Kaka cost Milan 8 million euros) and we can only conclude some serious talent is arriving at Anfield.

The question I am wondering about is; how is this kid gonna get a game with Gerrard, Mascherano, Alonso and Sissoko ahead of him????

Liverpool are trying to put through papers for a Italian passport as they don't want to end up in the same situation as Mark Gonzalez

I think we can afford to wait a bit for him to sign given the talent we have at our disposal. I reckon he will get in the side eventually. Could he be a replacement for Mashcerano ( I hope not) seeing as we may have to "give him back" to west ham at the end of this season. Does anyone know the deal we have with Masch?

He has the quality to play in Premiership, but he has been bought as Gerrard's successor. From what I've seen (YouTube, I know...) he is box to box midfielder, just as Benitez described him, and looks comfortable on ball, some more trickery and flair than Stevie although of course not as good. But a great buy definently.

Looking forward to seeing what this guy can do in the red jersey, it was a pity he couldn't play today cos of some paperwork, but I imagine he'll get a run out against Portsmouth on Friday. The fella will struggle to break into the team anytime soon I would imagine, looks like being fifth in line after Stevie, Alonso, Mascherano and Sissoko.

Seems like Lucas has got his passport clearance to get a Italian passport but international clearance will not be in time by friday. Same with Torres and Babel today they couldn't due to international clearance of their transfer even though they played previously against Bremen and Auxerre i find it weird.

After getting clearance I think he'll definitley play at some stage tomorrow. I doubt Rafa is too concerned about the result, and will be concentrating more on actually giving our new signings a run out to get adapted to the Liverpool way.

He rejected both Everton and Manure to join Liverpool. Torres also rejected them. And if we get Heinze...if I were Ferguson I'd be worried, just in case Benitez wants to buy Neville.

It seems united were flying out to try and sign him earlier in the year and were stunned when they were told he had already agreed to sign for Liverpool.

I am suprised though, now we have five central midfielders for two spots. Momo has only signed a new deal so he must have got some assurances that he is likely to play a lot of games. There is no harm in having a lot of quality players, however constantly changing the spine of team will not win you the league.

Fergie had little choice but to play his best four midfielders last year as the others (Fletcher, O Shea, Smith, Richardson) are not good enough. Chelsea chopped and changed it did them no good
