I will be supporting them this season.

Former England international Robbie Fowler has agreed to join Cardiff City.

The experienced striker has accepted a two-year contract with Cardiff and is expected to be presented early next week.

Fowler had a clutch of clubs on his trail after he was released by Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez at the end of last season.

He travelled to Australia last week to discuss a deal with Sydney FC, who confirmed on Friday that he rejected the offer.

Leicester City and Port Vale had also shown an interest, with Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric hoping to tempt Fowler to The Walkers Stadium.

But Cardiff had always appeared to be favourites to sign the 32-year-old ahead of their Championship rivals.

The Welsh club have now confirmed a deal has been agreed for Fowler to pen a two-year contract at Ninian Park.

    Hi

Hope things go well for him there, I think Cardiff have gotten a good striker - granted, he won't play every game, but as a sub for the last 30 mins, he'll get them a lot of goals I'd bet

Suspect he may even help get them promoted ! ;)

(you heard it here first :D :D :D_

Best of luck Robbie, I agree with garrettod that you might have a big hand in getting them promoted, just go easy on us when you come back to Anfield in the 08/09 season :)

Last season he was our best finisher, his legs didnt get him into the postitions often enough. Cardiff have gotten a great player. I hope we see him back in anfield in some capacity in the future. I hope we draw Cardiff in one of the cups now.
