Teen recovering after losing finger on St Patrick's Day 19/03/2008 - 13:27:23 An English teenager who lost a finger during St Patrick’s Day celebrations was recovering in hospital today. Gardaà are investigating how Guy Wallace’s little finger was severed as revellers celebrated the national holiday in Dublin city centre. Despite an extensive search by officers in the area, the finger is still missing. The 17-year-old said he was attacked by a gang of thugs after he was asked where he was from on O'Connell Street. However gardaà – who confirmed a man sustained serious hand injuries in an incident on O’Connell Street – are trying to establish exactly what happened. A garda spokeswoman said: “We can’t confirm an assault. At this stage we believe there was no assault, but the claims are being investigated. “Gardaà are trying to establish exactly what happened.†Guy, a keen pianist and rugby player, underwent emergency surgery in Dublin’s Mater Hospital. He is expected to return to the UK where he will be treated in a specialist plastic surgery unit.

Yeah Lads, but we have no justice system. 26 year old scumbag burgled an old man of 72 in his house,battered him and left him for dead was fined €700. Shopkeeper in Dublin was fined €8250 for failing to display prices of groceries.

Dublins has gone to shite for the past couple of years and is now out of control, coke, drink, joke of a justice system, parents that dont give a fcuk all the major reasons why. I had to move 2 years ago, used to live around the corner from where those 2 poor polish guys were murdered, I could see how bad Drimnagh and Crumlin was getting and couldnt bear the thought of my kids growing up around there and worrying about them going to town when they were older. Down in Gorey now, never going back, hate the thought of going back up to Dublin now when I go out with lads and work meetings
