what is the story with Le Tallec, he was a hot prospect... he's faded away big time... was he given a fair chance under Benitez? I know he's been out on loan a good bit and didnt even cut it at Sunderland, but surely the lad is seriously unsettled at this stage. I remember him having a stormer again Juve in 2005 and hasnt played since...

Just a shame to see a young prospect fade away.

Yeah. He may get a few Carling cup games, if we get a bit of a run in the competition. I suspect Rafa would have let him go if he didnt think he could contribute in some way. Lets wait and see

Agree with that, he often looked useful and certainly tried to shake a leg which is more than can be said for most of GH signings.

I think Rafa is giving him a chance to show his worth and hopefully he has some.

Le Tallec is meant to be one of the biggest tossers you can come across. Theres no way he will be involved this season and thats why hes not in HK and doesnt even have a squad number!!

james I seriously doubt that being a tosser is costing him a decent role in the first team. Plenty "tossers" have been gone on to have some top notch footballing careers. How they carry on off the pitch doesn't matter a damn, if their good enough on it they'll get a game. Le Tallec hasn't lived up to his early promise and could hardly get a game with an awful Sunderland 2 years ago when they went down. Liverpool are moving on to great things, Le Tallec sadly isn't and is rightly being left behind.

His attitude and behaviour is the the thing that has cost him his chance of success at Liverpool. He has been been spewing crap like "I never want to return to Liverpool" and "I should be a first team player" for 2 years now. He also goes around thinking hes the bees knees and all this while doing nothing in matches to justify his words.

I remember he played very well against Arsenal and Juve during our injury crisis in the 2005 season. His performances dipped and hes done nothing since except talk crap and behave like a big time charlie at Liverpool, Sunderland and Sochaux. He even had the balls to think he'd get into the French squad last season while he was on the bench for Sochaux!!

While I agree that some tossers do very well in football I can hand on heart say that this one is a special case.

Just watched the highlights on the eSeason ticket. I know Peterborough arent world beaters and no disrespect to them for saying that - but the young lads really put on a fine display against them. Idrizaj and Le Tallec were classes above the rest. Hansen also had a good game in between the sticks and looked to have forgotten the howlers against Wrexham. He also made a good save by stopping a penalty kick. Hard to make out who was consitent and who really impressed but from the highlights it looked like Le Tellac was pulling the strings in central midfield and Idrizaj was a real threat up front.

These are comments Ive found from people who were at the game about La Tellec

From TLW
I was at the game on Sat and when I heard his name announced I was quite excited to finally be able to see him play. Instead I ended up disapointedly watching the laziest bag of shite I have seen in my life. His attitude totally mirrored the comments made above. He looked like he couldn't be arsed and was thinking to himself what the **** am I doing in this hole?!

I cant wait until he is shipped off. It is a shame though as he had SO much potenital.

From YNWA

If you didn't know which one Le Tallec was, you certainly wouldn't have known afterwards. Awful.

Got bored and left about half 4.

Pretty dull game all in all I thought. Idrizaj impressed, he fashioned himself a great shooting chance from nothing after holding off 3 Posh players. Le Tallec looked like he couldn't be ar5ed. Huth (I think!) at the back looked decent. No one really stood out to be honest.

Le Tallec was out there???? f*** me, you'd never have known

Thought Nemeth looked good, and Jordy too when he came on

holy lord... i stand corrected - just goes to show what some good editing can do to swing opinion in the favour of somebody. On the eSeason highlights it was all positive and it looked as though LeT was involved in a fair amount.

Have to say I'm disappointed with that. He's ruining his own career if he fails to put the effort in - and thats regardless of what level he's playing - once the red jersey is on he's representing the club and should give 100%.

Actually I wonder who he's training with? Is he at Melwood at all or is he with the youths? If this is the carry on then I doubt Rafa would bother wasting any effort on him.

I hate to be negative about any player but they gotta commit to earn the right to wear the jersey.

Hes training with the reserves.

I heard theres some interest in him from Spain so maybe he'll move on. He only has a year left on his contract anyway
