This may only be a pre-season friendly against mediocre opponents but Alonso really looks to be back on song:)

listening to it here on eSeason, Alonso sounds like he's having a stormer, Voronin sounds like he's heavily involved too.
Just found out that the reason for Torres and Babel being left out today is due to them not having international clearance yet. They will have it on time for the final if Liverpool reach it.
Anyone know how Kewell is getting on? He should be sharp following the Asia Cup.

Kewell is looking okay. He's not on the ball much. Alonso's playing a stormer and Momo's just kicking heads all over the place. Benyaoun has gone missing and Crouchie's not really there, but the rest our playing well enough

Fair bad that Sissoko was getting jeered by the crowd anytime he touched the ball after been tough in his tackles, even Martin Tyler mentioned it in commentary...disgrace that is...
Voronin and Alonso were class today...Agger's goal was class built it and finished it
Good result, good performance and no injuries - another successful pre-season game out of the way. Hard to take anything really out of this though apart from gaining back the first touch and a run out. The gulf in class was very much apparent, with the Redmen first to the ball on most occasions. Still, lets keep the good results going, Portsmouth on Friday should be a good test

Should be a tough one. espeically now hearing this morning we're having problems getting international clearance to play Torres and Babel again... Big Sami in midfield again it seems lol
