Jist of it is something goes wrong.. theres something in the mist and lots of people take shelter in a mini shopping center thingy... Its a bit cheesy at times but overall its not a bad flick, the ending is the blackest i've seen in a while. Worth a watch.
Been a while since I saw this but I remember enjoying it. While it's not a great movie I don't think there's anything shit about it. Given the wild premise (monster in the mist killing anyone who steps out) the story is fairly grounded and it's a very good "what would people do" kind of movie. The CGI is a bit weak at points which is a pity cos it's an otherwise good movie. Very bleak for a Hollywood movie too.
Yeah but did you , "Fell asleep on my birds left tit watching that ! " . Barry Norman never gave interesting reviews on movies like that !
I imported this on blu ray from the US and you get 2 versions, the original one and a black and white version. I have to saw, I wasn't that impressed when I first saw it but the B&W version improves it greatly as its like one of those 40's or 50's creature feature movies and plays quite well that way. Great ending imho, shocking topped with a kick in the goolies.
I read the short story years ago and thought the film was pretty true to it. Think the ending might have been different though. Decent movie imo.
