On paper it looks like a nice easy saturday afternoon fixture but the last game finished 3-1 and we could suffer the same as the gunners after they're away day in Italy.

Should probably go into the game with a full squad as we've got a nice week long break between now and the Utd game.

Ya Rafa said after the game Torres should start so looks like we will have a full strength side for this hopefully Alonso will be back with Lucas to drop to the bench

Has to play a strong team against Reading, keep the momentum going, and as you were saying Ed, we have a week to refresh.

Rafa seems to have come round to the whole idea of "securing the points, then rest the top players" attitude.

This MUST be the way to go this weekend, cap the week off in style!!!

Rafa will be hurting along with the lads from the 1st fixture, I expect a full side and we will hockey them!

Reiterate what other people have said, strongest team, we have over a week till the man utd game.

3-0. Torres, Babel, alonso

McGinty
14-03-2008, 12:36 AM
exactly, he's gotta put out the strongest team available.

reading are terrible away from the Madejski, they only taken 6 points from 42 on the road.

we need to stop drawing against the sh1te near the bottom. will take nothing but 3 points and a clean sheet from this game

Is the game on tv???

edcarroll02
14-03-2008, 09:57 AM
No i don't think its on tv, i think the mancs are on for some reason.

Hoping to see Babel terrorising a few of these reading boys, he needs to get his game time and experience up as much as possible before next season. Would be great to see Alonso back on the pitch just so we know him and Benitez are getting on, and with him, Gerrard, Toress and Babel Reading won't know what hit them!

I am going to this one, so I am hoping for a good performance.

Reading had a good win last week, however in general since xmas they have been cack.

Reina, Arbeloa, Carra, Srktel, Aurelio, Masherano, Alonso, Benayoun, Gerrard, Babel, Torres

Subs: Martin, Sami, Kuyt, Crouch, Pennant

On fox soccer channel starsports again and truesports plus a shiteload of others.

Another one aswell but bear in mind this plays the sopcast plugin with a webpage

http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/

The best quality streams are either using Pcast, ppmate, sopcast ,TVU, TVantsin that order so if you can find a stream using pcast use it next in line ppmate and so on and so forth with TVants probably being the worst because of buffering having to use a proxy. START THE STREAM AT LEAST 30 MINS PRIOR TO KICK OFF, that way you will get the best results. Enjoy peeps.

Cheers Pragmatic :)

They're all very tired, they need this week long break anyway to get themselves ready for a few big weeks, not a great game but we've got another 3 points and thats all that matters.

You know what?
I really hate that pikey lookalike Stephen Hunt.
He got the benefit of the doubt after the Cech incident, but he is so wreckless that he will do someone serious damage again soon.
Also he has a real attitude about himself.

Didnt think Longy was such a pretentious little idiot either.
Its not like he's Torres , or even Doyle for that matter.
He should count himself lucky that he was on te pitch in the first place.

So if Masch can do that does that mean that he would actually be a better striker than Kuyt

Masch has tried that a fair few times over the last few months, unfortunately each time the ball ended up in row z. He has been excellent defensively all season...if he can add accurate shooting to his list of attributes he'll be even more valuable - great goal today and great performance as usual.

A mention for Gerrard and Torres too - linking up again today to come up with the winner. Well done redmen!

Met him in town(Dublin) on a night out before Xmas, was around the time of the Terry Venables rumours as Irish manager and he said he wanted Terry, but obviously Trapattoni didn't have his hat in the ring at the time.

Have to say found Hunt pleasant and not ignorant and made the effort to talk back and I was kabolloxed to so was probably talking Japanese to him.

Maybe so, maybe he is the nicest fella in the whole wide world, but his onfield behaviour is wreckless and he is going to do serious damage to another player again, sooner or later.

Was at the game myself and thought we did well, it was fairly nail biting at the end though. They did not really look like scoring, however they had two or three good free kick situations right at the death. As for Hunt, you either love him or hate him.

Great win for the reds, Skrtel is turning out to be a real find

When he went flying over the advertising hoardings and then came back on the pitch, it showed what a hard man he is. Madeof bloody steel.
