i thought he looked good alright, good link up play, doesnt give the ball away cheaply and took his goals very well... especially the 2nd goal. I think he's got the physique for the Premiership too.
I thought he took his first goal very well, it showed he has a good reading for the game. I think this free transfer Ukrainian could proove a better one than the £30 million one that came last year to the premiership!
Thought he looked decent allright but nothing special to be honest.... The 20 mins Torres was on the pitch really excited me, he was quicker than I thought and looked really sharp, cant wait for Fridays game now!!
Thought he looked well up for more than any other player, took his two goals well and if he keeps this up it could be him and torres to kick us off against the villa.Babel looked quick and strong, hopefully he gets a better run out on friday afternoon.
hes also pretty quick as is torres. Havent seen bable or yossi yet but according to you lot they looked good. Bigger tests to come of course but its good to know that we are least winning our pre season games.
Impressive starts for the new lads, especially Voronin who looks very cool on the ball and seems a very intelligent player, the way he just stroked the second goal home rather than hammering it says alot. Torres looked hungry and was so unlucky with the little chip. Babel looks like he loves running at players, I'd say he's still a bit raw but theres no doubt the talent is there. Yossi was quiet enough, gave a couple of sloppy balls but I wouldn't read too much into these early pre-season games though. Us fans have every reason to be optimistic though, our attacking options look very tasty, compared to last year
Early Days but...... Allready we look a better prospect this year, plenty of pace which was really needed, torres looks the biz allready, some lovely touches. Voronin who nobody knew about looks like a good all round forward with pace, good touch and linked up play well, kuyts place in the first XI could be in doubt with this guy who cost feck all compared to his international colleague who flopped at 30m, ha ha. Roll on friday, and the rest of the friendlies
Voronin like Paul Walsh? with the flowing golden locks? More like Michael Bolton in his Heyday I would have thought... with quiet intros and verses (just like Voronin's approach and laid back style) and finishing with explosive choruses (hopefully like his goals)...
Wouldnt put Walters in the esteemed company of the other two. Not too bad in his time and had some great games in the red shirt in 92 to 94, all be it in one of our worst teams. Popped up with some important goals at times.
