You are in LUCK as Dub13 loves Orlando,if you are staying on International Drive like most people the best pub to watch football is the Lucky Leprechaun Irish Pub (http://www.luckyleprechaunirishpub.com/)

Lucky Leprechaun Irish Pub ..... I'd say it took them a while to come up with that fantastic name... in saying that, its not a name you'd forget in a hurry

Do Kraken at seaworld, the hulk and dueling dragons @ Islands of adventure. If you don't have kids with you skip disney and get the flex ticket for the above 2parks and wet and wild and universal studios. There are a good few pubs showing the footie on I-drive most have a cover charge. If you have ESPN2 where you are staying they show some games. Watched the 2nd leg of this years champs league semi on it in the hotel. Sweet.
Heading over there for my honeymoon next may but I managed to arrange the wedding for the end of the football season so I shouldn't miss anything :)

I got married in Orlando a couple of years ago,its a great spot.I agree with if you don't have kids with you skip Disney we skipped it the first time as we new we would be back.Try and go to Busch Gardens, its in Tamps a couple of hours away in a car but well worth the trip.

You beat me to it ;) :D
Ive also been to Orlando, not with Dub13 btw .... :D
Definitely do:
- stay on international drive
- use their little trolly bus service, runs up and down international drive, cheap and cheerful
- check out the outlet malls, one at either end of international drive (cheap clothes and suitcases to put all your new clothes in !)
- try and get to: The Film Studios, Seaworld, One of the 4 Disney Theme Parks - we did both Disneyworld & the Animal one (we don't have kids but who cares ;))
- we also did day trips on coaches to:
A) Nasa - saw the shuttle take off & B
B) The Everglades, they take you out on boats to see crocks etc
Absolutely loved the place ... oh, two warnings:
A) don't stay out in the sun too long, it gets pretty hot over there, drink plenty of water etc
B) don't go on about what a great time you had when you get back, if you do you'll just make me mad ! ;)
Have a great time mate :)

Pitty
Can't you change the day of the trip to see the shuttle take off ?... it's a long haul, but actually quite good to see (despite the fact that we paid a premium to be at the closest vantage point ... only to then be told when we got there, it was still 7 miles away :D)
If you have specific questions, post them here / drop me a PM & I'll try and share the info we have with you - can't say we know everything, but if we can we'll help you :)
Oh, btw, I see your in Lurgan. Do a bit of research on the web. When we were there, they were doing free Disney tickets to anyone in the "UK", in return to you going for a 30 minute brekie presentation on purchasing a property - was a ver good deal, but they saw our Irish Passports and would'nt let us into the deal !

Well i have a irish passport myself so dnt think id be in with a chance to get the free tickets,im not to fussed on the Disney parks anyhow.
Yeah ive been searching around the web and seems to be loads to do,would you hire a car out or is it easy to get about?taxis/buses?

Hi
When we went, we stayed in a hotel on International Drive, used taxis to get to all the theme parks (Seaword is well worth a visit, along with one of the movie studios etc imho) ...
There are small outlet malls at both ends of International Drive, there is a bus route along International Drive (it's called the trolley I think), was cheap as chips and served the purpose nicely.
Long journeys such as down to see the crocks and the shuttle take off, were done via coach tours booked from the hotel.
We never took a hire car, but many do - guess a lot depends on where you want to go once you get to Florida mate :)

Hi mate
yeah mate we will prob be doing all the parks, our hotel is just a block away from seaworld so thats good:)
yeah the I-Trolley looks to be sweet gets you up and down the I-Drive for next to nothing.
im not to fussed on driving over mate if im honest so the coach tours would be sweet:)
im sure i dnt need to ask about places to eat as im sure there is loads over there:)
Thanx again:)

Hi
If your going to book the Staybridge Suites, or any of the others on this list:
InterContinental
Crowne Plaza
Hotel Indigo
Holiday Inn
Express by Holiday Inn
Staybridge Suites
Candlewood Suites
Then join Priority Club first (http://www.priorityclub.com) it's a rewards club like a frequent flyer programme for all those hotel chains & in addition, offers the cheapest rates for the hotel rooms at the hotels listed above.
(oh, btw, if you don't want to collect points for Priority Club itself, theny you can link them to many of the airline frequent flyer programmes and get your Hotel points credited to BA, American Airlines etc instead !)
