These bouncers would be stupid to start anything when fans will be in the city in thousands. If word got out they attacked fans I think they would be crucified. Anyone goin to Moscow should have the sense to stay in a decent size group in hotel bars or pubs and stay out of nightclubs.
I think you are underestimating the bouncers and police in Moscow, BIG time. However, you are right, people who do go, if we get there, should pretty much stick to their hotel and if they venture out should go to touristy areas only in large groups.
thugs That is scary alright, it said the bouncers where doing that to rowdy people but looking at it the lads that where hit where not doing anything. i think all sorts of stuff goes on over there and the police etc are either all in on it or just dont do anything cause they get paid regardless. You would def have to stick to groups id say and i mean big groups, 2s n 3s just wouldnt do and you would be picked on. That said tho, scousers do know how to fight like and is there is enough of them there i can see this final,should we get there a big mess.
I was in Moscow for the Ireland game in 2002 and although we didnt see any trouble we heard plenty of stories of lads getting attacked and dodgy on the spot fines from the local police. As has been said already if your leaving your hotel make sure you travel in groups.
