Anybody have one of these or plan on getting one once they are out here in the next couple of weeks...?I have to say when it comes to phones all I want out of mine is for it to make a call and not be to big,I also like a radio on my phone but thats it.

Some of Gadget freak mates are going mad for these iPhones, its crazy. You have to give the PR people at Apple a lot of credit they certainly know how to whip up a frenzy.

o2 are the only network that will sell them over here starting out on bill pay for the moment, people buying from the states might have trouble with o2 getting on the network cos they want to corner the market...this is only from listing to the last word on today fm so might not be 100% true

Spot on lads, its O2 who have secured the contract of it over here, being released on March 14th over here for €399 for the 8gb version and €499 for the 16gb version. A mate of mine has had it since October last when he brought it back from the states but the as far as I'm aware he can't download anymore updates onto it cos one of the updates will acutally lock out phones which ain't on the proper network. It was pretty decent I must admit but at the price its being released at I won't be touching it.

More info here for those interested...

thats what i thought as my tarriff was €150 a month , as i text mostly and then a bill for €1560 and then a further €530 for a week into the next month and then when they cancelled me they added on a once off charge of €300 for the sake of it

ive tried to settle it a few times with €1000 and contacted the solicitors who sent me letters saying i tried to settle it etc

i dont care , let em take me to court seriously , i'll make sure they get the worst publicity ever and i mean it

half the time the internet was on already as , anybody with a sony ericsson k800i will know theres a little globe button and when touched it activates internet ,

and when i asked o2 for a list of sites i visited , they said they dont keep track of them just the usage

so to me its a blond charge , go and swing

Be careful about that as it could effect your credit rating.

only for 3 years ur blacklisted :) thanks for info tho

i mean €2500 is a 60 " lcd tv and that lasts years etc

not a month on some 1" x 1" screen that u can barely see

anyway people are boycotting the iphone as uk gets way better tarriffs for it that o2 are offering

£35 a month for 3000 mins and 1000 texts in the uk

and €75 for 700 mins and 250 and thats here

    whats better ?
