Maybe this is the 1st proper preseason friendly of the new campagne. No disrespect to Wrexham or Crewe, but I think the next few games will feature most of the more senior players rather than a lot of the youths. So looking forward to seeing Torres in the red shirt proper. Hopefully he gets to play tonight, I believe he is training properly now. No more ankle worries hopefully. Maybe we'll also get to see Babel and Benayoun make an appearance too. More of Veronin too will be nice (he impressed in the last match).

I know the game is on Setanta, but I haven't subscribed, does anyone know if its on eSeason ticket yet? No mention of it on the LFC website.

I was very impressed with Voronin tonight, he took his first goal very well. Torres got himself into good positions and should have had a goal. Defending could have been better but overall some good times ahead!!!

Voronin was brilliant. Was looking forward to seeing Tores but Voronon was man of the match by far. So calm netting both goals when he could have stuffed em up. Jamies face after that goal/ not so much a goal by WB was classic

A good run out for the lads, Veronin looked very good. Pennant looked sharp too. Banayoun made some nice runs and Babel was eager to score. Torres was unlucky not to score with the delicate chip, there's plenty more to come from him.

Overall a good result and workout, but the defence needs to sharpen up.

Voronins positioning and touch were excellent - he took his goals well.
Torres looked exciting - he got into great positions and has that extra burst of pace unlucky not to get 2 goals.
Babel looked a bit nervous - tried a bit too hard with shots from outside the box.
Benayoun looked good early in the 2nd half will work well with Voronin, Kuyt and Torres.

A lot of intelligent play up front and not so intelligent play at the back.
Still preseason so concentration levels wouldn't have been high I suppose.

Great start from the new boys. Out of the rest thought Pennant looked very sharp, Stevie, Xabi and Momo were all looking really sharp aswell, especially for first game back

DOn't want to bring a downer on things- didn't see the game but was reading the play by play stuff on .tv- It said the 1st WB goal came from Paletta losing his man.
From what I've seen of him- and Allidiere will not go outta my head_ Paletta really needs to be loaned out to get first teams experience even if it is championship level or he ain't going to make it.

Yes. Paletta has been very poor every time i have seen him. The positional sense of a blindman in a sand storm

Seen Voronin's two goals he took the second one very well and his pace for the first goal shows he the capability of causing havoc in the premiership

Loved the lighning quick feet of Babel and Torres in the few minutes they were on the pitch. Very happy.
