I think the premiership this year is between ourselves and united, I feel Chelsea are fading a bit.

Personally meself i think we can win it. I say that because my first point if we good start meaning the first ten games. Win 8 of these games at least and i think we have a chance. Secondly, we need take something from these away games that we have struggled at; Arsenal, Bolton, Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle, Boro and Man U - since Rafa took over these games have cost us a lot of points. Like since 2004 we have only won 2 out 21 of those games and drew 3 thats 9 points of 63. Add to that our bogey team in the Premiership also Birmingham City which Rafa hasn't beaten them in Premiership i think since he took charge. Improve results in the games that didn't matter Fulham, Pompey and Man City where we lost those near the end of last season.

i think we have will have a great chance. but if we lose 2 or 3 games in the 1st 2 months it could be leauge over. but im confedint we can get of to a flyer and really attack the crap out of other teams. and 2 wins over the mancs is must this year after we lost both times last year;)

I reckon we wont win it this year, there are a lot of players who have to settle and adapt to the new style of footie and to the new culture. Because of this I wont be disappointed if Torres doesnt get off to a flyer, though in time I know he'll be a revelation at Anfield. It'll take time for the team to gel together aswell.

I do believe that when LFC find their feet and get some momentum behind them, we'll be a match for anyone. To win the league you need a lot of luck to go your way and you also need to be able to win matches maybe 1-0 when your playing awful (in the same way Man.Ure sickened both us and Fulham last year, and like Chelsea did the years before).

I wouldnt underestimate Arsenal either, the pressure seems to be off them at the min and they're in a transition period, but Wenger has definitely got some crackin young players there. They could be LFC's main challengers in the coming years.

If we can beat Villa and Chelsea in the first two games we're setting down a marker how we mean to go on for the season. If its 6 out out 6 points after week 1 we can win the league and at least 4 points vs the Mancs is a must. A good start is the main thing even two losses in the first 10 games or so could mean a fight for second place with Chavski.
I am an optimist though and I believe this is our year!

i reckon with all the new faces it'd b a minor miracle if we won it - the chances of torres, voronin, babel, levia etc all adapting quick smart to a new league is highly unlikely. i do think we'll be closer than last year but still looking at third, an optimistic 2nd - i do agree with the other lads that we have to get a 6pt from two game start and bt the mancs at anfield - i just reckon its a year too soon. should b a much better bet season after though.
