Yea, after seeing Rafa's interview you can never know.
Hopefully if we do sign another player it will be a quick signing that takes us all by surprise. I love those, just like the Fowler one.

is he a right midfielder??? cause i think we need 1 more on that side. i think were good when gerrard is in the centre of medfield or even infront of 2 defensive midfielders.

Again, an agent just trying to get more money for his player (and himself).

He's a good player from what I've seen but he plays in similar position to Babel for the most part I think. Does anyone think he'll sign Mancini AND Heinze? Be surprised to be honest but you never know

Interesting stuff, reckon we are finished in the market for midfield or attack. Only thing left might be a left back, talk of Heinze buying out his contract

Good player but all the rumoured interest is to get him a better contract with Roma. That'swhy his agent is coming out saying these things.

I think heinze will be the next signing for us but think the quaresma deal is out of the question really at this stage. Porto came out and said yesterday he is no longer for sale

Dirty tactics using us as bait to get himself more money. I'm happy enough with our attacking options now, think any more money should be concentrated on our backline. Shame about Quaresma though, quality player

    As you suspected mal5times

    Alessandro Mancini interest is over
Jul 16 2007 by Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo

RAFA BENITEZ today revealed Liverpool’s interest in Roma winger Alessandro Mancini is over, despite claims of a fresh bid from the player’s agent.

Liverpool did show an interest in the Brazilian earlier in the summer, but Benitez opted to sign Ryan Babel instead.

Now, with Mancini negotiating a new deal with the Italian side, his representative is claiming Benitez is still pursuing the 27-year-old.

But Benitez said today: “I was reading stories about Mancini. I can say that Liverpool will not be offering any money for this player.â€

There are suspicions the player’s agent is using the Reds to improve terms at the Olympic Stadium.

Benitez and his 25-man squad arrived in Switzerland yesterday.
