Being a traditionalist, I hate it. Maybe if they added a cape and a mask it might look better. Definitely more Batman than John Hayes.

Listening to Neil Francis yesterday and it seems that the design is simply practical from the point of view of guys getting grabbed by the shirt or collar.

Very true Phill...I personally think it's a great jersey, both practically, and for casual wear...it compliments your body shape, and fits perfectly...the colour is o little darker, but the white one is amazing...

Still dont like the shirt, tho my wife gave it to me as a present. To be honest I look more like vicky Pollard than Brian O driscoll in it.:(
