Euro 2008

I would be thinking Germany have an excellent opportunity to win this one. With England not going to the Alps, Germany will be one of the best supported teams at the tournament. They have a handy group as well and should top it. After that they'll probably have to battle it out with Czech Rep and/or Portugal for a spot in the final, but right now I think they are better than both this teams, especially at a tournament finals.

 

If Ronaldo carries on the way he's playing now Portugal could be hard to stop! Would like to see the germans win it though.

 

I think if Spain click, they will be unstoppable...their class emanates from all over the pitch, and it's a well known fact that all of their players are on top form...Fabregas and Torres, and also xabi and inesta to name a few...for me it will come down to their experience, whether they can hold themselves together or not, that will be the question...but you never know, just look at the arsenal this year...

 

Torn between Spain and Germany... I'll choose Germany because they did well in 2006 with a young team, that young team will have more experience going to Switzerland and as Sean says above they should have a lot of support being so close to Switzerland. Germany have had more success than other nations (winners 3 times and runners up twice, I think) and their determined, efficient approach should stand to them.

Spain have class individual players and are always talked about in the run up to the finals - sadly they invariably underachieve. I would like to see them do well though.

Yes I probably have had too much to drink but croatia play good football and would like to see them win

 

I will be supporting Spain and I think they have the quality, although mentally they blow it at major comps.

look at the quality though the spine of the team, Casillas, Reina, Ramos, Puyol, Xavi, Alonso, Torres and Villa

I think Portugal could be a big danger although their lacking of real goalscorer will hinder them as usual. They have a strong defence and some very exciting midfeidlers, Simao, Ronaldo, Quaramso, Nani. If they had a Torres or Van Nistelrooy in their squad, I would go for them

If Holland play Kuyt and Babel, they have no chance. France for me are a team on the downward spiral...

Italy and Germany will be up there aswell.

The Germans are looking the likely winners for me. Momentum is in their favor.

 

spain always have good teams but never win anything so im going 4 spain as ireland arent in it and torres and other pool players will be in there team

 

I'd love to see Spain in it, but they always seem to fizzle out too quickly. World Cup 06 and 02, Euro 04 ... they had great squads but couldn't put it all together.

 

I think Spain have great chance for this one, but i'll be having a little wager on the Croats..

 

Spain possibly, but spain are spain. It all goes to pot when they get to the business end.
