Suprised he didn't go to celtic but could be beneficial for Liverpool that he has gone to the Saints as with the competition for places up at celtic would make it hard for Hammill to really when he is not playing regularly

I'd say thats a wise move for the lad as he will be playing against better opposition week in week out in the championship. On the downside he could of had European Football with Celtic which would be valuable for his Liverpool future.
Burley is good with young players so I hear, so hopefully he can help Hammill's development 'cos this guy looks a bright prospect.
