I get a feeling of a general dislike of this former red....not as a player, but since joining Sky Sports...

    What's your thoughts?

Personal thoughts- he was a great player and sadly injury cut him down in his prime. But like you said since joining SS he hasn't once climbed out of his little cousin's ar*e and is the most pro chavski 'pundit' (i'm using the word very loosely) I've heard.
To come out with Rafa will never win the league with his tired rotation argument as I believe he did last weekend is the icing on the cake. To jump on the bandwagon when he himself played in some of the worse Liverpool teams ever just lowers my opinion of him even more.
Yes he is entitled to his opinion and I respect that entitlement but the lack of respect he shows on a constant basis to the manager and at times the players of the club is beyond excuse in my book.
Every media driven angle be it rotation, zonal marking or Gerrard on the right or centre he has jumped in feet first against what the club is doing.
Sad really, the lack of class is just really upsetting to be honest.:(

He is a brutal pundit and his buddy attitude towards Frank, John and Ashley sickens me ****. I would never say he was a great player, he had the potential to be a great player, and injuries prevented him from filling that potential.

Wasnt the biggest of Redknapp fans of a player, average at best but I agree with the man when he said we won't win the league with this rotation policy, that is at this moment as when Rafa rotates the squad for games the players coming into the side are not good enough. how can you rest players like Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and bring in a player like Voronin, Benayoun, Pennant etc. The Rotation policy wont work until we have a Bench thats as good as our starting 11.

Sorry this is such a girlie thing to say but I like him cos he's a bit of eye candy haha;)

The boyfriend can't stand him though - absolutely hates him and thinks hasn't a clue what he's on about. In fairness he does talk a lot of shite - jamie that is, not the boyfriend:)

Eh what was the craic with John Terry punditing for Chavski Liverpool game on Sunday by the way?? Thought that was a bit stupid

He was an outstanding prospect on the pitch and couldve been one of the Anfield greats imo. However, now he just gets on my tits and I wouldnt even call him a pundit.

Annoys me the way he trys to interview the other pundit himself every so often, like he's desperate for a presenting role from sky or that he's had lessons or something. And he rides the bandwagon so well he could have a go at aintree.

That twat has never had one meaningful comment since he joined SS, he is just a pretty face with the IQ of a biscuit...i'm surprised he can even read the autocue when they show him what tired anodyne cliche to use next. Has hopped on every anti-rafa slant in the past 12 months. And what the hell would he know about winning the title, the muppet...he just about hobbled up the podium to lift the FA cup in the treble year.
He has zero insight, zero charisma, zero class - and he was a bigger sicknote than Darren Anderton.
And oh yeah jamie, will u ever piss off and get another suit, u muppet, u look like a f***ing undertaker.
Sorry, sleepless nite, v cranky - just hate that SS punditry

He did a reality show where a bunch of young lads competed for a place in Chelsea's youth team. Maybe he's a Chelsea fan at heart? Certainly doesn't ever go against the other SS pundits when they're having a go at Liverpool or Rafa. There's a clip on youtube of him presenting on SS where the other pundits are making a laugh of him...can't get on youtube in work.

He is turning into a turnip on Sky, i'd say all his comments are rehearsed and rehearsed as Sky are that bad mouthing Liverpool any chance they get.

All I can say is he is bland. He is incapable of an original thought, whatever the other pundit says about anyone he agrees with, when the hairy gorilla asks him a question its always phrased 'wouldnt you say' or 'dont you think' blah blah blah to which his response is always 'yes, absolutely'.

Basically he is the white, just as thick and pointless, but better dressed version of Ian Wright.

I was always a fan of Jamie's when he was a red.Sometimes he pisses me off with his comments about the way we play and Rafa's rotation policy but what pisses me off the most is he's right. We are further away from winning the title than when Rafa arrived, there is no style to the play,we give the ball away to easy and there are too many average players in the team.:(

i was watching that prog a league of their own last night on sky one.it was the unseen version, all the outtakes were on it.
anyway the bould jamie was talking about the 01 cup final against arsenal,he was saying that in the build up to the game the lads were trying to talk him in to going up to lift the cup if they won it but he wasn't too keen,he was club captain but he hadn't played for most of the season cos of injury.
lpool went on to win the cup as we all know and redknapp said robbie fowler was trying to get him to go up and lift the cup,he still wasn't too keen but then he said he saw gerrard houllier saying to sami hypia that he was the captain and was telling him to go up and lift the cup.when he saw that redknapp decided that he was going to go up and lift it.
he said when he was lifting it he was saying "have some of that houllier you w@nker."
now isn't that a lovely story?
i remember saying at the time that it was a nice touch but after hearing that i've changed my opinion.seems there was a lot of politics going on back then too, nothing much has changed...
