This is the programme I use which is totally idiot proof but you have to buy it. There may be a way of getting it free but its one I swear by.

    http://www.cucusoft.com/dvd-to-ipod.asp

It will convert a dvd episode of family guy to a file about 140mb to give you and idea of the conversion set up.

I have tried a few of the free ones but this one doest the job the best.

The one I have is the top one (with the bow on the box) you can purchase it by download not by disc, there is an option when you are buying it as to how you want it delivered, I think electronic is the default delivery setting.

If you are able to copy normal dvds there should be no problem, I have AnyDvd running in the background on my pc that strips away any macrovision that it on discs.

The more expensive one allows you to convert your dvds to the iPod format and then there is a second feature that allows you to convert AVI/MPEG files you have downloaded to the iPod format.

Unfortunately Pimbolis Pimp Lounge has had to be put on the back burner due to financial difficulties as my, eh, funding didnt come through.

I've sent the plans back to be re-done to be more cost effective and fit my budget.

I use a program called Videora, http://www.redkawa.com/blog/#0 very easy to use. It converts the file, then you just drop it into itunes. Converting a 700mb movie takes around 30/45 mins. Putting the video into itunes takes less than a minute. Good luck
