From next season the premier league are allowing the clubs to name 7 subs...... Good news for the rich clubs who WILL have seven players Capable of changing the game , bad news for the smaller clubs who won't. United and Chelsea will be stronger from next year me thinks !!!!!!!
yes and the more money you have the better the options are. there where games this season when united had anderson and scholes playing centre of mid , carrick on the bench and to get the balance right within the subs ,hargreaves not in the 16. The only options the smaller clubs will have is to may be blood some younger players and not have a 16million player waiting in the wings . I think it will make them stronger .
it makes sense as its been like that in other top leagues for years. Wonder will anyone be bold enough to go for 7 outfield players. It gives the managers less hassle as two more underachieving money merchants can ride the pine instead of sit in the stands.
They should insist that the extra 2 are under 23 are English or someting along those lines to encourage youth developement.
Wouldnt really be much point to that as if they are only being put on the bench for that reason and not on merit they wont get sent on so you may as well stick with the 5 subs
