I am so pissed off about Torres, ffs this is a real blow 2 weeks maybe ok to be out any longer means we are in serious trouble. What the F**k is there international football on in the middle of the season? We should mount a campaign to stop LFC players from playing for thee country or at least be paid a substantial figure to do so. This needs to be a requirement, "you are a Liverpool player now you play for nobody else as this club is like nothing else, you have arrived at the greatest football club in the world who the most knowledgeable fans ever in the history of the sport". This in my view is what new players need to be told when they arrive at the club. ( Sorry may be mistakes above but i am really angry and i am just sitting here shaking so it is hard o type) We need to get this across to players that unless it is the summer you can't play for your country and could start with banner or a display etc. If we are holding off untill full time for the demonstration against G&H Maybe we could safe this one for half time?
We should tell our players if they want at any stage to play for their country they will be sold you will find most of our players not wanting to play international football if they were told this is not what LFC players do.
Are you for real. This will never ever happen Its an unfortunate accident, could have happened against chelsea on sunday. Players pride themselves on playing for there country, and what your saying is if you play for liverpool then you cant play for your country hence maybe not winning a world cup medal or a euro champ medal.
I think you'll find that players won't take kindly to hearing stuff like that. If they tried that I don't think you'd have any internationals at our club!!
Lads i am sick of suiting players if they want to play for their country go ahead but we are the great Liverpool Fc and are far more important than any country and players will so realise this when they arrive.
I think you will find we would not attract too many players. For any player the highlight of the their career would be to win the World Cup. Even for smaller countries getting to the World Cup would be considered a bigger achievement than winning a league or Champions league medal. Just my opinion...
Football has changed drastically. The big teams are mostly made of up full international players and also even , because of influx of foreigners, a lot of the smaller clubs are heavily reliant on international players. Some people may think international football has declined but what player is going to pick a club he may only end up playing for for a few seasons, less even in some cases, for his national team. Ridiculous suggestion.
