Can anyone explain why liverpool pulled out of a deal for Malouda at 12million and have now bid 13.5million for Babel, the same fee that Chelsea have paid for Malouda now. So why didnt liverpool just go to 13.5million for Malouda who I thought was rafa's first choice.
Malouda said "he felf Rafa was the only one who wanted him at Liverpool (he kept ringing the player), while he felt universally wanted" at Chavski (whatever the hell that means). Money wasn't the factor on this one, Drogba is his mate and told him to come and he wanted to live in London aswell. Good player shame to miss out on him for a decent price, lets hope Rafa gets one of his wing men soon
