Just heard it! absolute legend Carra is, that muppet Durham needs a good slap anyway, i listen to him the odd time when im off work and he is always having a go at people. Fair play to Carra he was obviously well pissed off and he handled himself brilliantly.
Any fan of any team knows Jamie Carragher is n bottler. Brilliant I listening to it twice already!
(first post here by the way!)

I was directed to the SA supporters club page via newsnow.co.uk with Liverpool as the filter, very easy way to keep up to date on all the Stories (rubbish!) that is goin on with the reds.

Can the man be any more of a legend?

did you listen to it? I will boycott Talksport now, scum. Thats one thing that I can't change as I grow older, I cant hack muppets/journalists and general fans having a go at Liverpool legends. Im just as bad for being blinkered but i dont care.

Fair play to Carra for givin that idiot hell.... how can anyone accuse Carra of bottling out of somethin?
And if you ask me its one of the wonders of the world how the love child of snoop dogg and kelly holmes is getting his place ahead of him. Carra has been the most consistent performer along with John Terry in the Premiership. He;s the heart of the Pool defence and gets to tackles that no man should be physically able to get to.
Awful shame he's not playing for Ireland. He'd have been worshipped.
Its on YouTube aswell, don't know any other players that would dial up and run a muck over someone calling him a bottler, LEGEND!

It's unreal how quick people are to have a go. Anyone can see why he'd decide to call it a day. He's never been given a run of games at centre half,
no time to form any sort of partnership with Terry etc. It mirrors his early Liverpool career when he was a victim of his own versatility.
"don't you call me a bottler in front of thousands of people listening in, ive had the bottle to fight for my place for the alst 8 years", "if i cant get ahead of ledley king whos been injured for the last season at 29 how can i expect to get in at 32 for the world cup"
And the host still had the cheek to argue

The man doesn't need to justify himself to anyone, but he was right to defend his name after being called a 'bottler'
I just hope he scores this season...he came close a few times last year and I nearly wept at the misses as I so wished for him to score

Legend is Carra. Didn't hear anyone slaggin off Ginger scholes when that he retired
I can't believe that the guy tried to argue with him, what a muppet!!
And to say that he would have woodgate in ahead of Carra just shows how little he knows about football...
People can argue that Ferdinand deserves his place alongside Terry as he is a different type of footballer but when Terry or Ferdinand are out there can be absolutely no reason not to have Carragher as next choice
By the way I think he should be first choice but just playin devils advocate as I have had this conversation many times with non-lfc fans

I have to say, Carragher handled himself, so well. That interviewer is a tool. Why challenge a man of great integrity is mystery to me. Most players wouldnt be bothered to call in, but Carra is a proud character, and wont tolerate being called a bottler.
Scholes retired and there wasnt a whisper as was said above.

Lads,
It's not that I don't agree with some of the comments that have been posted here, but please try and tone down the language a bit - we are trying to attract a lot more members to this site, people of all ages and obviously some of the words being used here ain't suitable to the younger audience.
Thanks

As for the matter of what's been said about JC, well all I can say is England will realise their loss in matches to come !
carra did very well in that piece
i understand his frustration and why he would do this.hes shud deffo be a 1st team regular but i still feel he shouldnt do this.mcclaren is a fool not to play but he shud still make himself available in my opinion

Personally I wouldn't have messied with Carra before and definetly not now. Fair play to him.
Well done Jamie. You're just right. I think England don't deserve him. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet. It's their loss.

Think Micky Quinn thought Carra was going to come through the door any minute, he was licking up to him that much:p
in fairness if Carra was Irish I would be saying he was disgrace. i said it went carr announced his retirement at 29. Of course its his decision but at 29 I think its too early. Scholes the same. Plenty of people would give their right arm to play for their country. i am not dissing carragher, however I can see why people would say he is wrong:eek::eek:

If Carra was Irish of course he'd play. I'm not saying i agree with his decision but i completely agree with his reasons for doing it (if that makes any sense). He's the best defender in England and never gets a game. He may not be the best header or passer but hes the most consistent (way more consistent that Rio), the hardest worker, he never gives up but still isnt getting picked. Now he can just conentrate on his club football as he has said.
