Must say its great to watch some football again after that break. First half was good. Idrizaji’s Movement in front of defenders was brilliant. Him & Pennant worked very well together and Pennant was class. Nothing really good to say about the second half. Felt sorry for the new keeper Hansen, not a great start to his Liverpool career, his first touch straight to a wrexham player to kick it right over him into the net. Anyone agree?

I watched the game. I thought Pennant's touch was amazing. I know this was against Wrexham but I was hugely encouraged by his enthusiasm and energy. I like how Rafa has challenged Idrizaj to push himself into contention into the first team. I think himself and Linfield might make an impact this season in the Carling Cup and maybe get a look in if we have injuries etc. Hamill is a good little player. Exciting to watch. Peltier might not make it.

Would like to see a young striker come through and score 3-5 goals like Mellor did in 2004/5.

I always get excited at the prospect of a young unknown being promoted from our youth ranks ( though I realise Idrizaj was a signing). Remember guys there was atime we hadnt heard of Owen or Fowler.

We need a one players we signed two summers ago to make a breakthrough. With Anderson and Antwi gone out on loan and soon to be Martin and guthrie as well will get those players some experience. Besian needs to try this season to break into the first team squad. He was good while on loan at luton. The other one needs to be Miki Roque. One of these two need to break into the squad. Gabby Paletta would be better served going on loan to an english club to get experience instead of packing him off to spain

Reckon Idrizaj will prob go out on loan to someone in the first division based on this game... took all three goals really well and his finish for the first goal was some strike

Don't agree paddy, playing with the reserves can be the best way for newbies or those right on the edge of first team to absorb the Rafa method which they won't learn playing for second raters.
