http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3060222,00.html And here I was thinking he may be for the chop.........
Thats some good PR from Kevin Keegan, extending an olive branch to Owen. To be fair, if he's going to take Newcastle back to the days of playing attacking football with flair he will need the likes of Michael Owen on his side. Wonder how Geremi will feel about the whole thing.
now that's what i call Man Management! though knowing Owen's Injury Record he wont be Captain for too many Games......
Agreed......I really hope that he does get them back to playing decent football...... I think its only for when he is away...... In any case, Geremi may not be part of his plans......was astounded when Big Sam made him captain...
Alot of the magpie fans weren't happy with Owen, just wonder how they feel about him being captain. Some felt he was only there until a bigger club came along... Altough they'll be happy to have an english captain!
Very true mate I take it, Kev & Michael have sorted out any differences they had, following the last time they worked togeather on the national team. This certainly should help Owen, if he has had any confidence issues I'd imagine ... if Keegan can get Owen & Duff playing well, thats a good step forward for Newcastle. (not that I want to see them playing too well, just like to see them do a bit better ... eh, against Arsenal, Mancs & Chelski perhaps )
jaysus! that's a strange one isn't it? wonder what the Story is there? all the Talk in the last few weeks was of Defoe moving in January.i'd be surprised to see Keane leaving but stranger things have happened...
