What sort of a team do you reckon Rafa would put out against Havant? I think people like Itandje, Voronin, Lucas, Leto, El Zhar and Hobbs will get a look in. Maybe even the new guy Skrtel will get a start.

It will certainly be a game where we will get to see the youth perform and hopefully not under too much pressure by the opposition...

Do what we did last night, and we'll have no problems. Put out the reserves and lose, and there will be ructions.

Having watched the reserves play in first team games before, I don't trust them to even beat the likes of Havant. Look at the mess they made at Luton, ffs. Get the first team out, get the job done, and let them regain their confidence, by entertaining the crowd to a hatful. :)

The Mighty Havant vs. The Mighty Reds should be a cracker.

Looking forward to this game, and seeing a mix of youth and experience hopefully making easy work of it. Got flights in and out of Speke for €16 all in earlier in the month, not bad bit of business!

Fair play to Havant & Waterlooville for getting this far - some achievement for a club less than 10 years old. Their supporters will have some day out at Anfield. But lets leave it at the 4th round eh ;)

Absolutely delighted for them. It will be worth about 900k for them I hear. See all their supporters going over to the Swansea supporters after the game shouting "who are ya".

Just a quick question for you all...

Maybe I'm being stupid, but I've read in a few places that Havant & Waterlooville will get a big payday from playing us in the 4th round. Figures between £500k - £1m have been mentioned.

Why or how exactly is this a payday for them? They're playing at Anfield, so I assume we get the gate reciepts? How do they get money, TV rights or something?

J.

P.S. And don't Celtic and Rangers have the same sponsor? Talk about covering your bets, that marketing department have a bit of a monopoly there!

For the FA cup, gate receipts are done differently, i think they get something like 40%, also yes i presume they get TV money too, that's if it's on.

Its 3.00pm kick off on a Saturday so doubt they will get too much TV money

As far as i know both teams get 45% of the gate with the other 10% going to an FA fund of some description.

The big question is though, will it even be on tv? Generally, cup games on Saturdays are very hard to find coverage of, if they're not glamour games.
