Rumour is despite earlier denials that Shearer will be part of the new set up

If nothing else a good PR stunt by Ashley as he will have the support of every dillusional Geordie out there and Keegan & Shearer will be given more time than anyone to succeed by the fans

That's the easy bit, getting them to win a major trophy for the first time since 1969 is the hard bit.

They'll be dancing in the streets up there!! If he can have half the effect he had first time round it can only be good for football entertainment wise- actually winning or defending- Not so sure:p

He's putting his neck on the line here...if he screws up here, we won't see him in management again...

For anyone who has forgotten how passionate he is. The Geordies will be delighted alright.

it says it all about the geordies that they need something like this to fill there ground for an f.a. cup tie.they have this myth that there the greatest fans in the world.when in fact there the most fickle and delusional in the game.i hope keegan does a good job for them(he's a legend)but i think it'll end up like kendall when he went back to everton.he'll just tarnish his legend there.

To be honest I was shocked with that one.
I think it is a bad move for both parties.

thinks it is a good move that the owner has made. The fans love keegan

King Kev as they are calling him got his team playing great attractive football when they almost won the league and if he can do the same again, good luck to him

Man, I can't see him sorting out that defence.

Expect, Owen, Martins and Viduka up front..... Is Tino Asprilla still playing?
