Having a debate with a guy in work today about who the best keeper in the Premiership is, I personally think its Robert Green.

For the sake of keeping the thread as unbiased as we can, lets keep Reina out of it. Or if you think Reina is the best keeper, also put down who you think is the second best. I think it'll be interesting to see where everyone stands on this one.

I think after Reina, Almunia has been very good this season.

Cech without doubt. Big strong and comanding in the box. Robert Green is possibly the best english keeper at the moment but lacks the experience of big games and i could see him crumbling under pressure

I still think Shay Given is an excellent keeper and should have tried to move to one of the bog 4 at some stage. Honestly though, I'll probably say Cech

Was it Souness on the box the other day said Friedel was the best keeper in the league?! Yeah he's good and we let him go far too soon, but the best, no way...

I'd have to go with Cech as well. In his day, Van der Sar was quality but time is catching up with him I reckon (thank God)

I think Joe Hart will become one of the best keepers in the league in years to come, but today it is probably Cech.

It is Reina - hs distribution is 2nd to none

Cech is a fine keeper but under a shadow with a few blunders this season

    Friedel is a good shout

Friedel was probably the most consistent for a few years but I think he's slipped recently. If we sold Reina I would want Given then Cech.

Cech for me though he isn't having the greatest season but on his day is quality.

For me the best three in the league are

    1. Cech
    2. Reina
    3. Green

How many times has Cech made a mistake, I can only think of two and they were both recently.

    From the Premier league's site:

James has made 71 saves this season
Green has made 61 saves this season
Reina has made 35 saves this season
Almunia has made 57 saves this season

So i'll give it to James another of our ex keepers and Harry Rednapp thinks he's the best in the business.

No mention of Van Dar Sar and he has conceded less goals in the league than any other keeper - by a long way... mostly thanks to his defence though.
