Im for the 4th round game saturday week. a mate wants me to go to a club called barfly on the friday night. anyone here ever been? any good and exactly where is it located in the city?
Not sure, As a rule I just head into Concert Square for the late nights. Mathew St is OK, but can get a bit more messy and slight risk of hastle. The docklands has one or two late bars / clubs and a couple of restuarants, but probably not lively as Concert Square. Just did a quick search - looks like there are several Barfly clubs throughout the UK - looks like a live music venue http://www.barflyclub.com/liverpool/whatson/WhatsOn.aspx
If you're on the pull then you're sure to score in Matthew st. Concert Sq is better but birds are a bit classier and won't fall as easy for your ooirish drunken charm
If you are on the tear, then Concert Square is the place to be. We usually go to Reflex and then The Funky Box down near Hangover St. If you are on for a more classy night and the chance to see some Z list celebs, head down the Docks. Babycream, Blue Bar are excellent.
Concert square is usually good laugh. If your down near the docks there are some nice places to grab a bit of grub and a beer before going out. Classier and hence more expensive though. Some people have been known to hit Angels at the end of the night on rare occasions... not me of course. Liverpool girls in general seem very friendly. Not sure about the best bars/clubs to pull in. Where you reckon lads?
