    Reading one from Michael Crichton (ER and Jurassic Park fame)
    State of Fear. Its a fictional story about a Enviormental activist hyping up global warming for his own benifit. It's not bad.
    Read a few Harlan Coben books recently and really enjoyed them.

    So recomend me a book someone.

    harlan coben been mentioned before to me. i must look into his books.

    State of fear is a good read. its jumps around the world and lot but is a good read.

    He has also another book out about genetic engineering as well.a good read read as well. the name of it escapes me.

    the Jurassic Park books are much better than the film. Crichton like his facts to be correct.

    Bought "This is Ecstasy" for €5 at chrimbo. Its all about the drugs history, properties, effects, politics and the mis-information surrounding it. Not exactly a riveting read but here's 2 eye opening nuggets:
    In Switzerland MDMA (Ecstasys active ingredient) is prescribed to feuding married couples in order to restore some peace!!!
    Leah Betts, whose parents released a picture of her in a coma after taking ecstasy, actually died from water toxicity after drinking too much water and lowering her sodium levels. This has caused numerous deaths especially in females whose bodies cant cope with OTT efforts to prevent dehydration.

    im a really avid reader..probably do 3 or 4 books a week.

    Love to read Thrillers, among the best ive read for those looking for suggestions:

    American Wise;
    Michael Connollys Harry Bosch series
    Lee Childs books starring Jack Reacher
    Robert Crais and Elvis Cole

    English wise;
    Mark Billingham with the character tom thorne
    Ian Rankins books on jack rebus
    They are all really good writers, with all their books based upon the fictional detectives named above.

    As regards sports biographies, just finished Trevor Brennans book, Heart and Soul, quite a good read, Dessie Farrels Tangled up in blue, brian corcorans every single ball, Neil lennos book man and bhoy is a really good read, as in paul mc graths.

    enjoy`!!...especially look into connolly and childs if you like a good page turner that throws up a few twists

    I go through phases with books. I've read a few from each of these authors:
    Thomas Harris
    James Patterson
    John Grisham

    The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings - enjoyed them.

    If you like gangster movies then 'Boss of Bosses', Anthony Castellano's life story written by the FBI agent who took him down, is excellent.
    I read a book described as Goodfellas on the Mersey but can't remember the name of it or who wrote it.

    Autobiographies
    Joe Kinnear - Manager during the crazy gang days at Wimbledon
    Martin O'Neill
    Gazza
    Paul McGrath
    Roy Keane

    I don't really have the patience for reading unless it something I am interested in like sport or money :eek:. When I was at school, we had Wuthering Heights and King Lear for the leaving cert. I rented out the videos and then read then learned all the exam questions from previous years and luckliy similar questions came up again.
