jaysus that's a long Read, very good though..... "The owners wanted Rafa out before a ball had even been kicked this season." i haven't Heared that before but if that's true then thank Fowler Lpool got to the CL Final last Season,if they hadn't the Owners would've had perfect Ammunition to Sack him.
yeah it's a good read alright.it's about time some info starts coming from the club and leave the fans know what the hell is going on..i'd say we'll be waiting ...
Good read. The bit that sticks out for me the most is this Something seriously reeks at the moment. No denials that Rafa is on the ropes, no denials that they are seeking a replacement, no denials that they are struggling to hold onto the club due to being unable to re-finance their loan and now they seem to have gone all hush on the new stadium plans even though the revised plans were to be realised by Thursday last. Maybe I'm over reacting, but things just don't seem right behind the scenes at all.
i suppose there's 2 ways of Looking at it. the Owners can't Comment on Rafa's future cos they're not even certain of their own future as Lpool Owners at the moment or the Owners are going nowhere and Rafa's fate is set in Stone. hopefully it's the former and not the latter....
I know what ya mean mate, but where's the harm in them coming out and backing Rafa. Even if their worst nightmares came true and they had to give up the club in a months time, where is the harm in backing Rafa to the hilt right now? They'd have absolutely nothing to lose from it. Like you said yourself earlier, everything has gone pear-shaped from the moment we beat Newcastle. To wake up the next day and have to read that Rafa is likely to get the boot was just plain sickening seeing as the media should have been analysing our very real championship prospects at the time. Its been 50 days since that story has broke and its becoming more and more apparent its having an effect on the teams performance. 50 days, and not one comment from the pair in America to say that Rafa's job is safe, something that could have settled everyone's nerves - players, staff and fans alike. Just doesn't add up for me.
I suspect they have someone in mind, who they want to stick in to replace Rafa this summer .... not that I'm happy about this, just what I suspect.
Everyone seems to be blaming the yanks for everything but they came in with the best offer for the club above DIC (?) who Moores didnt want to sell to because they stated up front they were not in it for the long haul but for between 5-7 years which is why he was stalling with them. The re-financing problems was not something the yanks anticipated. They have been saddled with Moores baggage, the club is being distroyed because of the need for a new ground, all the other top sides already have theirs built bar the Chavs and they dont need to worry about financing. No matter what happens now whether DIC come back in and buy the club off the yanks they too will saddle the club with debt, its a lose lose situation now regardless of who owns the club. I was sent a spreadsheet which shows that since the Premiership started Liverpool are the second biggest net spenders since it began with only the Chavs ahead and only because of the money Maureen was given by the mob. So there has been money there its just practically all been wasted by sucessive managers
We drew 1-1 Away to Middlesbrough. 2 possible points dropped and a missed opportunity to close the gap feels like a defeat alright but it wasn't. Otherwise he gives a good account of what's happened over the last month or so.
