Pricks are still at this. They kept ringing my mother every day from india with this scam, lucky enough I was there when they called today and told them she didnt have a computer. She was afraid to even talk to them in case they were able to get her data! Funny but for someone with no technical knowledge it can be worrying. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jul/18/phone-scam-india-call-centres
They've called our house a few times, I just asked them does their mother take it up the arse, they usually hang up after that!
Yeah had a similar call at home last week. Noticed as well recently when i came home after work there were some weird looking missed call numbers.
For everyones attention. Microsoft will NEVER phone anyone regarding anything computer wise, actually you will NEVER be phoned by Microsoft for anything, we do not operate that way. If you do, hang up immediately and report it to the local Gardai. Also never give any personal information over the phone unless to a trusted source that you know is legitimate. So if they claim it's anything to do with MICROSOFT its a scam.
happened to us dozens of times if i answer the phone now to an indian voice i just roar at them to fcuk off and put the phone down i dont even wait to hear what they want come to think of it its prob not them at all half the time
I Ask them to wire a couple of grand to me first and then we can get the ball rolling.I also require a tattoo of my face tattooed on them too. Its standard procedure.
Received a letter from Global Solicitors in London telling me that dear old Randolf died leaving $15million and they want to put me forward to the trustee bank as a surviving family member so as to put a claim to the bank as a next of kin. Randolf, don't you know, was a dedicated christian who loved to give out [sounds like my ma!] and his great philanthropy earned him numerous awards in his life time. He died on the 13th Sept 1998 aged 86 and his will is now ready for execution. Happy days lads. First thing will be a box at Anfield
The scam is simply to get you to phone Global Solicitors in London on a super duper premium rate to a call centre located in Outer Mongolia. They don't 'answer' the call, but put you on hold, pass you from one dept to the other, etc. Nothing illegal ! Good job I resisted calling them … on the other hand who will get the $15 million ?
