Another money racket no doubt, anyone got any recommendations for one around Dublin? Seems it 150/200 lids and takes all day. Need to get one booked soon. Preferrably I'd go to one where you slip the chief an extra 20 just to sign the form or whatever and skip the life advice.
I didnt have to do one, the woman knows the priest well and he said we didn't have to do one. Maybe ask the priest if it has to be done before you go book it
I got stung to do it, theres a place there does it in one day just off griffith ave can't remember the name of it. 150 i think i got hit for. A couple got up a walked a couple of hours into it haha
Got stung to do it meself, it was a Friday evening and all day Saturday given to us by a priest and some aul couple still madly in love. Load of bo**oxology, but the priest married us inisited we do it. All a money making racket.....
Think you can do a shorter version, which shortens the pain. Ironic when Myself and the wife did it a fcekin mickey dodger tellin us their pearls of wisdom for a good marraige
book the course closest to the date of your wedding then make up a phantom death in england and promise the priest you will do it after the wedding. Thats what i done. Also depends on the priest not all make you do it
Get married in Registry office, its cheaper and what you save put it into the afters, so more money for beer and food, cant go wrong!!
I just told the priest that I was not doing it we were living together for many years and if he did not want to marry us the registry office would. His response was the courses are optional anyway so needless to say we did not do one that was seven years ago.
People not having the balls to stand up to their in-laws or wife to be, getting married in the church when they don’t want it, and then complaining about a fee the church charge for a service they provide. Now that is bullshit. If you don’t want to get married in a church, don’t. Don’t hear anyone complaining about the E150 charge for marriage notification.
Tellin' lies to a priest, you'll go straight to hell for that one Captain Fair play mate. That sounds like the right approach to me, particularly for anyone who has lived togeather for a while beforehand .... granted, those who have not lived togeather might benifit in some ways from either (a) doing the course or more likely (b) actually living togeather for a while before they get hitched. Top lad. I took the Fablous Las Vegas option myself (as many of you will already know) ... in and out in 27 minutes, including the rehearsal, paperwork, paying the photographer etc etc. People getting hitched should seriously look at spending some time living togeather first, before they get hitched. Real live experiences are far more valuable than any wedding course imho. No need to rush into anything, take your time boys and girls
