I just hope Carragher is not selected in the starting team on Saturday. He was rested tonight and the even more worrying thing is he has played in every FA Cup game this season. This included the dropping of Enrique for the semi-final so Carragher could get a game and the selection of Carragher in a defensive midfield role against Man United – where he was like a newborn baby playing against men. Team I wouldn’t mind seeing is below – though there is a lack of height compared to Chelsea. Reina Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique Spearing, Henderson Downing, Gerrard, Bellamy Suarez Chelsea are coming to form. Mata, Drogba and Sturridge likely up front. Would be worried if Carragher starts due to lack of pace. Team would end up playing very deep. I think Chelsea would be more worried about Bellamy, Gerrard and Suarez interchanging than Terry and Ivanovic battling with Carroll. Dont think Shelvey will play as play full 90 twice, so Spearing a cert.

Thinking the same myself but thought Kenny done it v Everton to protect Jones a bit but can see it again on Saturday Henderson and Spearing is a huge worry
I think the treatment of Jamie Carragher is a bit harsh. When youre up against and have your backs to the walls theirs no better man than Jamie Carragher to have in your team. His leadership skills and experience could be vital on Saturday. I don't have a clue what team Kenny will play on Saturday but I would love to see Suarez and Bellamy given the chance to link up and I am hopeful that Steven Gerrard will be let off the leash so we can have a right go at these on Saturday.
Starting to feel scared about Saturday after tonights performance. Have to say Carragher is a great ambassador for the club but speed is a problem for him so i thinkits a hard decision for kenny to leave him out of the squad. Suarez and Bellemy to start hopefully and Gerrard in flying form hopefully with the whole team with their correct shooting boots on we will net a winner and keep them chelksi boys quite. Reina Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique Spearing, Henderson Downing, Gerrard, Bellamy Suarez Have a feeling Carra will replace Enrique as well but would worry if that was the case. Agger is not a natural full back and Carra worries me these days.
If Agger is moved out to LB to accommodate carragher it's plain stupid as Drogba will kill us. I'd go with Reina Johnson Agger Skertl Enrique Maxi Henderson Spearing Gerrard Bellamy Suarez Carroll can consider himself unlucky not to start.
I want to win this one so bad, I think we need to play 5 in the middle and break fast like we did at norwich last week. I'd play enrique left back and leave carra on the bench
Once upon a time he was world-class when it came to defending our own box. However he has mental slips now that negate that ability and physically isn’t as mobile as he was when making those famed last-ditch tackles. Also playing him increases the likelihood of us being on the back foot most of the game as he will continually gift possession to Chelsea with aimless balls forward. I also think Agger/Skrtel who have captained their countries are more than capable of 'organising' a defence and Carragher's 'leadership' (often berating everyone bar himself/Gerrard) can be counterproductive. I don’t think anyone is disrespecting Carragher. I consider him a legend and our key player in 05 when we achieved the biggest success in my supporting lifetime but his time has passed. I'd like to see Reina Johnson Carra Skrtel Agger Henderson Spearing Downing Gerrard Bellamy Suarez Carroll, Kuyt or Maxi to come on and be the hero I've gone for Carra with Jose losing out. For me, his experience in finals and handling Drogba out weighs the reasons given here that he has to be binned. People do know that he never had pace anyway? We'll be going to war with these c**ts on Sat and I want him in the mix. I think Stevie and Luis should show what they can do. Get on that same wavelength again and do damage to the chavs back 4. Wouldnt complain too much if Carroll started but i'd rather see Gerrard more advanced and if things arent going well have the big man come on. Have a feeling Kuyt could be have a big part to play in the game. Hope so anyway.
A few points here... 1. Carra never really had a huge amount of pace so that's a non-argument. 2. His passion and desire to win this saturday may be greater than it ever has been as he knows it may be his last chance of silverware in that shirt he loves. 3. I agree that he will have to curtail this terrible habit of hoofing it clear, whereas Skrtel and Agger have been fantastic just playing the ball out of defence. We can't afford any lapses like the one that let Jellylegs in during the semi but I just think his desire alone on saturday COULD prove crucial. Bring it on!! Can't wait to get over there. P.S.
