RAFA PRAISE AS VORONIN COMPLETES MOVE

Liverpool Football Club has today officially announced the signing of Ukrainian international striker Andriy Voronin.
The 27-year-old, who was out of contract at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, will be unveiled to the media after 1pm today.

Rafa Benitez said: "He is a player with pace and with good movement. He plays between the lines, between defenders. He is a good worker also, and he scores goals. (translation, "He can do the Marcarena on the sideline, distract their defence for kuyt or Toores to score")

"He's not the kind of player you can talk about strengths because he has many things he can give to us." Translation "He's not the kind of player you can talk about strengths."

Only kidding. He might be a link player. Dont know how much he will figure but I wish him the best.

good player voronin. Nothing more than a squad player but has some good pace and workrate. I'd expect him to be a key player once our schedule gets hectic (christmas & easter) and probably the odd champs lg game.

WELCOME VORONIN :)

na red i expect him to be a really big part our season rafa wouldnt have bought him other wise and he would nt of said crouchy to fight 4 his place. and to me he looks like a firery forward. i hope he does well cause were after to many strikers in the past few years. it looks bad when there failours.

Hi

Yea, must admit I also felt the same here ... Rafa was too quick to grab this lad, he obviously rates him highly etc.

Fingers crossed.....
