I'd love a win obviously but most important is to come out of it with a clean bill of health. I think the way these play suits us,they're pretty open and we absolutely battered them at anfield. Players playing for cup final places too so hopefully we get a performance.
I agree but there is also next Tuesday's match against Fulham. To be honest I can't see the regular first team players being too worried. I would be happier if some of the fringe players got a chance. For instance I would start Shelvey ahead of Spearing. Kelly ahead of Johnson. Coates with Carragher would not bother me either. But being realistic I can't see changes being as radical as that.

The team that's likely to start next Saturday should start today IMO, Tuesday play fringe players and if they play well then maybe 1 or 2 could get in. IMO maxi had to start the final and I'll be proper pissed off if he doesn't, he's a big game player and I'd play him on the left/right alternating with Downing. So I'd hope we play similar system, I swear I'll fcukin cry if carragher or Kuyt start next week.
100% Neither have earned a spot in the team with their recent performances. Ok, some of the other players have not been great, but these 2 should be warming the bench imo.
Id also agree with that..much rather have Coates on in place of Carra and I would also be extremely unhappy if maxi dosnt start..he deserves it for the way he plays everytime he's used and always seems to score with the exception of the west brom game
