I know Im in the minority here, but I really can't stand his music .... will obviously be giving this one a swerve, as a result.
Each to their own I suppose, no sign of Gorey or arklow cinemas showing it so I'm goin to watch the screener that is out there since yesterday. Jah live!
Only 4 cinemas in Dublin had it the opening weekend but I'd say it will move around the country in the next few weeks. 2 1/2 hours long .
Personal taste is personal taste. I can't stand Lady Gaga, and wouldn't watch or listen to anything she is in. Yet there is millions who would disagree with me. So I wouldn't mock people for their opinion.
You don't have to enjoy his music to enjoy this documentary. (although it does help ) This is about his life.. From starting out life living in a house as big as a shed and only been able to afford one set of clothes and shoes to end up been a superstar and one most influential artists of 20th century music. His attempted assassination to his love of football. Plenty in it to make it enjoyable for everyone.
That is true and a very good point. I on the other hand, love his music and his story. So I will defo be watching this
Coincidentally Ive just downloaded this. Wouldn't be a huge fan of his music myself but he seems to have had an interesting life so I'll definitely watch it when I get the chance.
not huge into his music neither but couldnt help listening to it growing up with some of my mates being keen followers of him. i do know he was a huge football fan.
Don't forget the gay community. Sure aren't bob marleys main fanbase stoners who drink cider on the side of the canal.
Ive seen many documentaries on the great man but this is the definative one, absolutely brilliant, well worth a watch and recommended to anyone into their music
Gave it a watch. Some great footage and very informative. Found it very long winded though and prefer documentaries that are narrated. Decent but could have been better.
