They mentioned it ages ago but I don't think they ever confirmed it until recently.

This is a no brainer for one of the train operators to step in and hoover up the business.

My biggest fear is trouble from tanked up chelski fans - I imagine there'll be some bad elements at it & drinking all day before it...some of those shower that were booing throught the minutes silence sunday:rolleyes:

Although in saying that, I don't remember much trouble from them at the charity shield in 06....

FA Cup final should be 3pm on a Saturday, end of story.

The latest sponsorship deals with bud and tv companies have a clause in there for evening KO to get better advertising revenue for tv companies as its saturday tea time and wont clash with any league, non league or even Saturday kickabouts on hackney marshes. It's all about the $$$$$

Was walking to Liverpool ST on Sunday on at 10 and was already loads of Spurs and Chelsea fans on the ale around the area. Its a recipe for carnage espically if its cracking weather.

Would imagine Budweiser would want later kick off to suit American crowd also, it will be 12.15pm in NY or 9.15am in Los Angeles so suits them well too

I would rather the FA Cup brought down the curtain on the season instead of being played on the weekend of PL fixtures and before the end of the season.

It's because of the European Championships this year but the same wil probably happen next year with the Champions League Final at Wembley.

    .........and I agree fully

    I think so ya.

They said they wanted to have it at 5.15pm last year but held off.

The warning signs where there at last years semi final tho cause loads of mancs got stranded in london after the match as there wasnt enough trains to take them all back to manchester and with no service at all from london to liverpool on sunday may 6th loads will either be stranded untill monday or just have to get busses and lifts etc.
