He's the ref for the final, can't remember having a major issue with him. Apologies if there is a thred already on this, couldn't find one.

Am I wrong ? it's kind of important the way the refs this season have been.

shafted us first day of the season. clear sending off when richardson brought suarez down.

gave us a soft pen against city in the carling semi.

make your own mind up I guess. not a huge fan of him. hopefully he wont be making the headlines on the day

Fair enough, in the context of this Years abysmal referring decisions that was a relatively minor offence and I guess the peno v City cancelled it out, albeit I thought it was a peno.:)

No major issues so, that's what I was thinking.

Would prefer Mark Halsey myself, he lets the game flow and generally trys not to be the centre of attention. Dowd is a bit of busy body!!! At least it not Coward Webb I suppose.

Dowd reminds me of Jeff Winter. Wants to be the centre of attention unlike Halsey.

Dowd one of the better ones imo. Seems to have a personality which helps when dealing with players. But the way the officiating has been this season it's pot luck. But hopefully we're not talking about him at the end of the game.

Hopefully the ref will be the very last thing thats discussed at the end of the game.
Think Dowds a decent ref personally. Theres certainly 3-4 I'd rather NOT have and hes not one of them.
