A defeat against Woys team will see them move 1 point behind us.

    Cant be having that!

League form must pick, particularly @ home.

Unbeaten in the last 2 - lets make it 2 wins on the bounce!

Need to kick on now and pick up the points in the league. We must finish ahead of the Blues and Woys crowd!

I'd like to see Big Andy continue to play and bag a few more goals so he will be heading into the cup final ready to fire.

I'd go with the team that finished Saturdays game prob. Reina back in obviously and maybe bring Enrique back in and move Agger in one and take Carra out.

    Reina
    Johnson-Skrtel-Agger-Enrique
    Maxi-Gerrard-Spearing-Downing
    Carroll-Suarez

Surely the Suarez/Carroll partnership has to get the ok to carry on. While they may not be playing together as a classic partnership (theres a certain amount of one feeding the other but not in classic big man/little man way) the options having both on the pitch gives are great. Makes opposing defences nervous and unsure whether to play deep and defend against the heading ability of Carroll, and somewhat nullifying having Luis running in behind you - or play high to nullify Carroll to a certain extent, but leaving yourself open to Luis' ability to get behind.
Hope to see the two of them on the pitch for the remainder of the campaign.

The Match was moved to the Sunday because of the Liverpool Sea Odyssey event this weekend

Need AC to start and Maxi and Enrique and Reina back into the side , should come away with the 3 points, hate the cup hangover we usually have tho.

Time we put right whats been going wrong all season and thats finishing teams off. Fully expect us to dominate the game for large periods of time like we normally do. Get the tails up and lets start showing the rest what we're capable of. The Chavs are already very wary of us regardless of our form so to put a run together can only help for the build to the big one.

I know he had a train wreck of a half a season with us but I hope Roy Hodgson gets a good reception on Sunday.

Hope so too. Hodgson wasn't the right appointment by a long way and was his own worst enemy at time but he was a runny nose compared to the cancer at the our club at the time.

Would've said he would get a respectful reception but nothings a given at anfield anymore with some of the crowd we attract.

Listening to Roystons interview. Hope he does not get a bad reception, he is not a bad man in fairness, he is just an average manager who was out of his depth. It's still hard to believe he was manager though. Shows how mad times were back then.

    Very true.
My abiding memories of Roys term in charge are, the training camp pre season when Joe Cole was signed and him looking like a kid that had been locked into a chocolate factory he was grinning that much.
And then (cant recall the game - selective memory blanking from that period) losing 2-0 and watching perform what can only be described as a hamster impression of washing his face on the bench with a totally lost look on his face.
That was the moment I was totally convinced the job was too big for him....not that I hadnt a lot of reservations at that point.
