I remember Paul posting something similar about this with another company https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/credit-card-reader I would feel a whole lot safer with Paypal tbh Have signed up for more updates If and when it's launched it will be very handy for small businesses. Definitely where I work
Hmmm, good point. On our machine in work you can swipe as well as using the pin option? But, saying that I haven't took a payment that way in a good while We have had same machine for years and they are sending us a new one shortly so maybe as you say the swipe option will be gone
I have been reading about this,a few company's in a rush to get in early but if paypal move and it works they will be the market leader in no time.
I heard an add on the radio yesterday that a Dublin taxi firm are now taken payment via paypal, did not say how but good to see some movement.
You can do that through the PayPal app We have PayPal option in our place PayPal had an online Q+A couple months ago about this I asked them when it would be coming to Ireland They have no plans to release it here just yet
When the customer rings for a car they just ask for the PayPal address and send payment that way, our prices are fixed so it's easier It's not very popular with ordinary runs, mostly used for airport runs or company clients as you can use their invoicing facility also, saves a lot of hassle Our cars will be getting new systems shortly and I was really hoping this card reader would be available here
Would you believe it's mostly the ordinary joe soap that wouldn't use PayPal that would tip not the corporates or VIPs
