Ok so we got the win we desperately needed. This could prove crucial heading into the weekend, as could Andy's goal. who will our sub keeper be? Keeper is the position I'd be most worried about and I'm sure its a position Moyes will expolit We seem to have our first choice back four available again so thats a major plus. Stevie, Downing and Suarez being rested is also a bonus. ---------Jones-------- Glen--Skrtel---Agger---enrique-- ----Spearing---Stevie--- Shelvey-----Suarez------Downing- --------Carrolll----------- If Kenny opts for Henderson for Shelvey I wouldnt be overly surprised but I think the rest will start. Bitters will be tough but I think we will win it. Prediction 2-0 us. Stevie and Suarez
How good is it to see that back 4 on paper. I would like to see your team with Bellamy in for Downing. However whether Craig has another match in him on the big pitch is another thing. I expect Kenny might go with Dirk and Suarez with Andy dropping to bench. Hope I'm wrong but that has been the pattern of things this season. Maxi, Johnjo and Andy did their chances the world of good with those performances last night anyway. Kenny has a tough job picking an 11 for Saturday. Can't wait for this now.
I’d like to see something like this Jones Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique Gerrard Spearing Henderson Downing Suarez Carroll EDIT - doesnt show up with the formatting but I meant to have Downing extreme left and Suarez tucked in right However I think it may well by Suarez up front alone with Kuyt on the right.
Bellamy, Carroll and Shelvey likely not to start I can see the following Jones, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Gerrard, Henderson, Spearing, Downing, Kuyt, Suarez
I don't think we'll see Agger instead of Carragher starting. Dudek Johnson Carra Skrtel Enrique Henderson Spearing Gerrard Downing Carroll Suarez
So difficult to guess the line up. Going by who was rested / dropped last night, you;d think Gerrard, suarez, downing (definates imo) and Carra, Kuyt, enrique will all play. That would give: Jones, Johnson, Carra, Skrtel, Enrique, Kuyt, Gerrard, Downing, Suarez and 2 others - probably spearing and either henderson / shelvey. however, we have to start agger imo. will he play him left full and go Carra / Skrtel in the middle or leave Carra benched.? why didnt Carra start last night if hes not planning playing him on Sat. Also feel Andy should start after last night. So I would like to see : Jones, Johnson, Agger Skrtel, Enrique, Spearing, Downing, Gerrard, Suarez, Carroll and one of Henderson/Shelvey Expect to see: Jones, Johnson, Carra, Skrtel, Enrique, Spearing, Downing, Gerrard, Kuyt Henderson, Suarez, To summarise: I'm confused
You stop Baines and you stop the source of every Everton attack, also he's half the player without Pienaar creating the space and angles for him. Dirk is a certainty to start. After that its guess work, my waters are telling me Carra will start instead of Agger. I don't think Carroll was in the plans for Saturday but after the shakiness of Jones yesterday I feel he will come in to add extra protection. My guess is - Jones Johnson Skrtel Carra Enrique Kuyt Gerrard Spearing Downing Suarez Carroll Can't see anything other than a red victory.
I wonder could Kenny spring a surprise and go 3-5-2. Everton will be dangerous down the left flank and from set pieces Jones Carragher, Skrtel, Agger Johnson, Henderson, Gerrard, Downing, Enrique Kuyt, Suarez Plenty of ariel power there and both Johnson and Carragher(and Kuyt) to protect the right aide
I haven't a clue what way we will start but if I was Henderson Carroll agger maxi I'd be disappointed not to start
id love to see a back four like this for this one. johnson coates skyrtel agger. jose is dire at the moment. slows up the ball big time getting forward. it wont happen but id like to see shelvey maxi and bellamy involved in some way maybe not all starting. hopefully big andy starts too.
Last night was experimental to say the least and if it wasnt for a moment of madness from young Flanno we'd have strolled through that game. I cant see Kenny being as brave this weekend. I think back to when maxi, suarez and Kuyt were ripping teams apart with Meireles last year and would love to see that style of play again with Bellamy in there. Carroll playing throws that out of the window so we play to his strengths, which is where we have gone wrong. Letting ourselves get stuck in a rock and a hard place to suit square pegs in round holes. If we play Carroll, then play the style that suits big man small man, if we play Maxi, then go zip the ball around catching them on the break. I honsetly dont know what is best. The problem is neither does Kenny and the team and thats whats cost us.
they play 5 in midfield so that midfield would be destroyed I would fear. for that reason I think Spearing is a cert to start. says a lot about or season when none of us have a clue what kenny sees as our best 11. I think Gerrard Spearing and Suarez and any 3 of the others will be the front 6 .
we havent been great without andy either this year. i only saw the second half last night but i thought andy held the ball up well and brought maxi and bellamy into the game. half the balls that go up to suarez he will take a tumble and a lot of the time the ball comes straight back out.
Liverpool are to recall Peter Gulacsi from his loan at Hull City in order to solve their goalkeeping crisis. Hull have announced the Hungarian will later on Wednesday return to his parent club to provide cover for the suspended Jose Reina and Alexander Doni. Liverpool have been plunged into a shortage of goalkeepers for this weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Everton at Wembley. Reina serves the third match of his three-game suspension for his red card at Newcastle at the beginning of April, while Doni was sent off in Tuesday night's win at Blackburn. Brad Jones replaced Doni at Ewood Park, but was himself fortunate not to be sent off when giving away a penalty against Yakubu in the second half. Gulacsi will likely be a part of the Liverpool squad at Wembley for the Saturday showdown with Merseyside derby rivals Everton, with Jones starting in Kenny Dalglish's first XI. The soon-to-be-22-year-old made 15 appearances for Hull since joining on loan last summer and the Tigers have thanked him for his efforts.
