Please lads restore a wee bit of pride in LFC. Whatever the team I want to see hunger from the entire squad, a positive result and a performance, all in that order. YNWA
A solid performance for the 90 mins , would just like to see the right attuide for the full game even if we go 0-1 down.
Villa are having a poor run and could be dragged in relegation battle so I expect a villa win its time to stop acting the bollix play a bit of fottie and win the match 2-0 to us Suarez and Gerard
I'd like to see us set up in a 4-3-3. Doni Flanagan Skrtel Coates Enrique Gerrard Spearing Henderson Suarez Carroll Downing Subs: Jones,Carra,Aurelio,Shelvey,Sterling,Bellamy,Kuyt Give Jordo a chance in the centre although I would be happy for Shelvey to start again. For morale all round this is becoming a must win.
I personally agree with Kenny not taking Sterling to the Newcastle game, it was a very hostile athmosphere as young Andy found out. It will be a good learning experience for Andy, if that doesn't get him to focus nothing will. I'd imagine Sterling might be on the bench for this one. I will be very interested to see where Carroll starts. Think kenny will have a very dim view of his rant particularly as he's nowhere near doing the business. We're lucky that Doni has 2 league games before the Cup game too. Hopefully he'll do the business. Villa are on a shocking run but our home form is brutal. Hopefully we'll win, might be a draw. I'd say the crowd reaction could be very interesting if the performance doesn't buck up, people are getting very very frustrated and rightly so in my opinion. Saw Aldridge having a right go at the players and he's often a good barometer of the opinion and Fairclough last week similar. I'd have huge respect for both their opinions to be honest.
John Aldridge: Liverpool FC are in crisis and action is needed to stop the rot http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...nd-action-is-needed-to-stop-the-rot-100252-30 Liverpool FC manager Kenny Dalglish before the Newcastle game THERE is no getting away from the fact that Liverpool FC are now in a crisis. To lose six out of seven in the league is something the club won’t ever tolerate, we can’t tolerate that. To have picked up just eight points out of 36 since the turn of the year is shambolic – that’s relegation form. The fact that this is the worst run in the league since 1954 speaks volumes. Questions are being asked and they need to be answered. The eyes of the world are on Liverpool FC and the critics are having a field day. We’re becoming a laughing stock. We’re all proud to be associated with the club and everything it has achieved over the years. But at the moment being a Liverpool fan is just embarrassing and that’s something I haven’t had to say before. We all know that we’re not the finished article but we’re better than what we’ve seen recently. The team just seems to have lost their belief. You can blame the manager and the coaching staff but at the end of the day it comes down to the players. They are getting paid unbelievable amounts of money and aren’t producing the goods. Some of them should take a long hard look in the mirror. They are playing for Liverpool Football Club – one of the biggest clubs in the world – it doesn’t get much better than that. They need to realise how lucky they are and start doing it or their Anfield careers won’t last much longer. We’ve all made excuses this season. From the bad luck of hitting the woodwork so often to bemoaning refereeing decisions. We’ve all talked about good performances not getting the rewards they deserved. But it’s time for all those excuses to be thrown out of the window. Liverpool FC fans are going to work distraught and seeing the team struggle like they did at Newcastle hurts a lot. When you are in a rut it’s really hard to get out of it. You can’t see the wood for the trees. As a manager sometimes you have to do something different just to try to get a response. When I was at Tranmere occasionally I’d take all the lads for a Chinese or a few beers. That might not be the way things are done in this day and age but something needs to be done to ease the pressure and spark a reaction from the players. They need to get back to playing for each other because it’s not happening at the moment. It’s hard as a manager because you can’t get into everyone’s head. Finding answers isn’t easy but that’s why Premier League managers get paid huge sums of money. More than anything I want to see some pride. That’s all we’re playing for in the league now but there doesn’t seem to be much pride around. We’ve got two league games before we go to Wembley to face Everton and we need to get some confidence back. The target has to be to make sure the Blues don’t finish above us. Everton have done brilliantly and have been a credit to their club. They have turned their season around and now we need to see our players follow suit.
We have to stop this run at some stage. When better than this weekend at home to a poor Villa side. Players need to take the finger out and put in their all. They are fighting for their spot at Wembley now at this stage! Give the fans something to cheer about!
Good game to have considering the run we are on as they are in freefall as well. Would play as close to the starting XI for Everton game against Villa with Doni in goals: Does anyone have any updates on the Johnson/Agger injuries?
Did any one see the Villa team which played at Chelsea? They were packed with youngsters and so was their bench. This is a guy where if we atart brightly and nick a early goal we could do well. But Mc Leish's side are usually set up for defensively so we could end up getting frustrated on the other side of it.

Going over to this so really hope we get the result.Ive a good track record I've only ever seen us lose twice in all my trips to anfield.Nervous about this one though.
Let's hope st least half the team are youngsters , they are guaranteed to do a better job than some of the useless shite we have on our squad namely Carroll Henderson downing Adam
