In the process of booking our wedding for the summer of next year. Looking to pick a venue first then work the date around that. Will be looking at somewhere not further than an hour from Dublin. Have looked at 6 or 7 places already, just wondering if anyone out there has any advice on previous experiences they have had.

I got married in the lakeside hotel in virginia.

As you drive up to it it doesnt look too inspiring but around the front its got a great view of the lake and is top notch inside. Staff are brilliant and everyone was looked after brilliantly

Cheers Ger, have looked at most of them already and like the look of some of them. The Osprey is topping the list for us at the moment, but havent talked deals or anything with any of them, hope to sort something in the next couple of weeks

went to the Bridge house hotel last year for a mate's wedding and it was top notch tbh.

    Osprey.

Killashee is excellent but pricey from what i remember.

Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge is well worth checking out.

Kopirish is dead right, I would love to be getting married now, the deals are great out there so play them off against each other...
