Just wondering if anbody suffers with any Nasal allergies Found out last month afte going to a nose and allergy specialist that I have a allergy to Dust Been on singular for the last 3 weeks and to stay on them for 8 weeks plus using a Nasal spray called Nasonex twice a day could be a permanent thing ? Any advice welcome
I'd advise against sticking yer nose into Everton's trophy cabinet! If I was you I'd get rid of any carpets in yer gaff and get wooden floors (if you havent already). Should make a big difference, also try keeping windows open as much as possible. I never had to go on any meds for it but was always prone to nasal probs meself. The wooden floors make a big difference to carpet imo.
Oh god, I used be crucified with this. No tips I'm afraid. Haven't had any major doses in over three years now. I tried everything at the time, been honest, f all of what you get in chemist worked. I must have just grown out of it, as I didn't change my lifestyle. Can't wait till I wake up in the morning now
Just finished my medication and still as bad , consultant told me to stay on meds for another 8 weeks and see if any improvement Losing all hope with it be sorted soon
I know it's for hayfever, but have you tried a spoon of locally polinated honey? Plenty of water does the trick for me, I used to have awful allergies when I was younger, a good blow of the nose a pint of water and 15mins out the back garden in the fresh air would sort me out, then I'd just have to take it easy for the evening. Moving house and moving from the 90s into the wooden floor era helped an awful lot, and now I only get bothered once or twice every couple of months. All the meds the docs give aren't worth a bollix tho mate. I just hope you aint paying for them.
check this thread out : http://www.irishkop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15708&highlight=sinus I am a bit better these days, on a steroid nasal spray called avamys since october 2011. air your house, damp dust and whatever you do , dont get extra insulation work done on your house, one of the main causes of my tiny dust mite allergy to reduce my qualty of life....
I have a dust allergy too, Nasonex is quiet good but I hardly take it anymore. My sympthoms are mainly congestion, but because I have a reflux condition the meds I take for that reduce the congestion - mad stuff. I would advise getting an anti-dust sheet for your bed. They basically block any dust from the mattdress getting though during the night (maybe not all the mites). You can get them in Dunnes, cheap ones will make you sweat during the night so my advise, dont cheap it up. You put it under your bed sheet, it acts like a barrier. Do you suffer with congestion also with the allergy?
I suffer with hayfever and take flixonase around this time of year till Sept. I also use a hayfever balm called hay max, its a natural balm that is applied to the base of the nose to reduce pollen entering the body. Might not be any good for you but there may be something similar on the market that may help.
Not to much conjestion just a lot of clear mucus been snorted out of the nose or from the chest through the mouth. Cold air brings it on a lot , recently finding my yawning a lot with it Doc sent me for a chest x ray last week , waiting on result.
X-ray came back perfect Doctor has given me a Kenalog injection and told me stop the other medication
