Anyobody else heading to this? Got a ticket myself yesterday. Absoloutely love the three lads but havent had the privilige of seeing them live before so canny wait anybody here seen them live before? If so what was the experience like? Really looking forward to it, the support bill is immense aswell. Love outdoor concerts in the summer. The thought of seeing Axwell, Ingrosso and Axwell live is going to get me through the last few months of the Leaving Cert!
Got myself two tickets for this.Thats June sorted with Jay Z, and July Sorted with the SHM, now alls i need is a decent gig for August and Ill be sorted.
Seen them before and also seen all three seperatly at different Sensation White events They put on great show, even if its not my favourite genre of dance music (trance lover). Not got ticket myself for this as yet as dear enough, but am going to Snow Patrol the day after
Should be a cracking gig but i cant see why Snoop was put into this lineup...he doesnt seem to really fit at all.Maybe a Guetta type etc would have been a better mix. This Oxegen Phoenix park is a great deal for MCD and we are now unlikely to see Oxegen in Kildare or camping again.
Was saying this over the weekend with friends, if we thought Oxegen would be back on again? My understanding was the concerts in the Phoneix Park were because of its part of the Parks 350th anniversary this year? Saying that, Oxegen didnt sell out last year, so not suprised it was scrapped this year
This is Oxegen, same line up as T in the park, similar if not the same posters etc. Oxegen on a Friday last year was a disaster,a massive loss made by mcd due to awful ticket sales. Whereas this is 7 gigs thats may touch the 40,000 mark(although less than half of that so far sold for SHM) Less costs for promoters here and less hassle with camping.
Great line up - sure it will be a great day but with no oxegen this place is gonna be full of knack bags IMO.
No Mate, Ive most of the other big dance acts.I was going to go see them last year at Oxegen but swerved it instead.
Likewise with myself. Was going to hit oxegen but the only acts I really wanted to see were SHM, Beady Eye and miles Kane. Wasn't bothered paying the huge prices just for 3 acts. 60 quid meanwhile for this line-up is a bargain. Roll on summer
Didnt want to start new thread as its same genre of music but David Guetta has announced a date in Ireland after previously booking one up North for August
Not a huge Guetta fan but I may end up going to it as Marley is 5 mins from my gaf and would love to see Example, Rizzle Kicks and Benny Benassi. Tommy Trash is on the bill aswell, hes quality. Avicci is playing the O2 on june 3rd aswell. And Deadmau5 is playing the RDS isnt he? some summer for house/dance music! Gonna miss Avicci and Deadmau5 myself cos of the leaving cert. SHM and David Guetta will be great days out tho!
Looking forward to a good bop at the Deadmau5 gig alright. Can take or leave Guetta the big cheeseball, he's good live though. As for SHM only a fan of Axwell so might swerve that gig but nice to have a some decent dance gig options over the summer.
Swedish House Mafia - Save The World, Live From Coachella, April 13, 2012
Epic! Was only watching that last night thinking that it will hardly be dark when they play the Phoenix Park. Will lose some of the atmosphere without the light show.
Swedish House Mafia are to split up after current tour After four years together, Swedish House Mafia have announced they are splitting up. The news came as the trio headlined the Dance Arena at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend, part of the London 2012 festival. The group is made up of DJs and producers Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. Swedish House Mafia broke the news on their website confirming the tour they are about to go on will be their last. Their final UK date will be at Milton Keynes Bowl on 14 July but dates in Ibiza will follow in August before the last date on home turf in Sweden on 24 November. All three co-signed their online statement, saying, "We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey," before signing off "we came, we raved, we loved". http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/18567540
